Conor McGregor has always been a hype job

he still beat those guys he beat. The hype grew because he was winning. Can’t deny that fact.

And other fighters didn't keep winning? The hype grew because people are partially stupid and / or misinformed.

I don't think so, but the hype job done by his delusional fans sure make it seem that. Look, Conor didn't become the 145lb champion & 155lb champion due to being a hype job, that takes skill & talent to get there. He's a amazing fighter but his fans with their delusions set him back and made this loss a little bit of reality to them.

No was a great fighter.. Can still be again if he puts the work in.. Time will tell..

He was legit at 145. But he knew he won the lottery against Aldo and 1 week notice Mendez. Which is why he didn't rematch them. He knew Edgar was dangerous. Avoided the fight. He would never have earned a title shot with any top 15 LWs schedule. I'm not kidding when I say he loses to Dariush, Lee, Gillespie and more. Michael Johnson would've been a 50/50. 155 is tough. He would gone something like 7-7 against the top 15. He could never put together a Tony, Khabib or even Oliveira win streak. Which is also why he doesn't defend belts. Exciting fighter. But not elite at 155. Specially once Khabib emasculated him and destroyed his mental warfare with him. Nobody would ever fall for the mind fuck again.

You can hate the guy all you want but you’re kind of shitting on Aldo, Mendes, Eddie, etc. when you say this kind of thing.

Is it not possible to say “I hate that fucking guy but he had some wins over some top guys?”

Conor is a great fighter with great wins over top guys but he's also a hype job.

It wasnt hype. It was magic. I remember the old Conor. He would barely touch his oppoent and they would go down, cowering in fear. Every time. In the same way. With the same expression. Brando, poirier, siver, mendes, they were no match for pure magic. Fuckin mystic Mac. He always knew the outcome of the fight beforehand. How did he know? Magic.

He lookes incredible up to the eddie fight. He was hungry and ambitious. Afte4 the eddie fight it went down hill... honeslty had he stayed 145 he could still be champ.
No chance he's still champ at 145.

He wouldn't be able to go 5 with Max and if he couldn't handle Poirier's kicks, he wouldn't be able to handle Volk's kicks

People always go full retard about a fighter's career after a loss. Is normal.

destroyer at FW when cutting obscene amounts of weight, bang average at LW.

.... with the UFC giving him opponents that he matches up well with stylistically.
Same for Khabib. Two guys who have been coddled their whole careers by the UFC. Khabib just fought strikers with shit ground games his whole career.

Nothing but good style matchups for him. I see he conveniently peaced out when a guy with legit striking, power and wrestling emerged. How very convenient.

Everyone is immortal until they're not. Silva, GSP, Fedor, Conor, and guess what, if Jon Jones, Adesanya and khabib keep fighting, they will lose too.

It's the nature of the beast .

I remember watching that Aldo knockout, the eddie knockout. Even the mendes fight.

Up until mendes you could maybe make a case for hype because of the short notice thing. Although conor had already beaten the likes of younger Max and Dustin.

But what he did to aldo and eddie was underniable. You shouldn't need to lie to justify your hate.
