News *** Conor McGregor Found Civilly Liable for 2018 Sexual Assault MEGA THREAD ***

If she pursued the case for monetary gain - as some people are saying - then she would have settled out of court: civil cases have typically low payouts in Europe (don’t think USA sums at all), however to avoid the bad PR and huge legal costs Conor’s advisors would have definitely paid more.

Making super primitive calculations, Conor will pay 250k to her, 1m to cover court legal costs, 250k to his advisors … so 1.5m, tons of bad PR and his trash behavior described publicly in detail for his kids to read when they grow up.

He would have gladly paid 1m to her, saved 500k and the public scrutiny.

Anyone advising her would have known all this, so clearly they went to court to make a public point not to get the maximum monetary gain.

Also, regardless how “consensual” she initially might have appeared in her drunken state, clearly the nature of the sexual encounter was in the assault category, never mind the moral implications of promoting the image of a devoted family man whilst having cocaine fueled nights of forced sex with random groupies.

His downfall is accelerating exponentially, as predicted by many … and he’s only in his 30s. What’s going to happen when he’ll be an irrelevant disliked has-been in 10y times?

Conor is hung like a woman on a cold day, he is an angry little man.

For dumbies like you who keep trying to argue semantics -- It was an assault case the whole time, the assault was RAPE. According to journalists who were there covering the case:

The Jury was told repeatedly by the judge that “rape is a form of assault” and rape was the assault they were dealing with. There was NEVER EVER any suggestion that they were to consider an “assault” separately to “rape”. They found Mr McGregor assaulted Nikita Hand by raping her.

CONOR LOST AN ASSAULT CAPE ABOUT RAPE. You don't split the two actions and say it was only assault. In order for her to prove the assault, she had to prove the rape since rape was the assault, and the jury sided with her.
He isn't paying anything for assault sir.. they have a criteria of 4 judgments and the one for assault wasn't one he is paying her damages for.

She sued for a million got a quarter of that.. the evidence didn't justify a million

Can’t be a has been when he’s a never was.

It’s not a crime for his DNA to be there nor is it proof or evidence. It’s literally she said / he said. The dr provided no proof, no evidence.

I will refer you to the excellent summary below.

Anyone who voices skepticism about the conviction and ruling should ask themselves a few questions.

- If Nikita Hand is lying, where did she get her severe injuries from, and the incrusted tampon that had to be surgically removed by a forcep?

She sent pictures of her injuries to a friend after the incident before returning home. The friend testified, and there are records of the message exchange.

- Had she been attacked by her boyfriend upon return, did he beat her up, and then rape her while using a condom? And then she decided it would be a good spin to blame Conor? That is not plausible either, because she sent messages distressed to her friend before returning home. The hours were exposed and verified.

They only found Conor's DNA in her. She was in her period. Not Lawrence, not anyone else's.

- So, the hypothesis that it was the boyfriend is ruled out.

-The injuries were severe that the doctors and those who saw them in court testified that they had not seen the likes of those.

- So, the hypothesis of "consensual but rough sex" is ridiculous. The woman was battered, in pain, and injured.

Yes, she was in CCTV shown interacting affectionately with Conor and Lawrence after having intercourse with Conor.

She went back and forth into the hotel. She has memory blanks. We know she was extremely drunk and had been taking tons of alcohol and drugs.

- If this was a money grab, why did she go to criminal court, and only decided to pursue civil reparations when that fell apart, while also refusing settlement, despite the enormous liability this would cause her and the massive interest in Conor's behalf to do so and avoid a public derail and exposition like this?

There are ample reports of this, but this should suffice:

Was she cunningly expecting that the criminal case would be turned down, despite time and financial resources, so as to increase her bluff?

This is preposterous, and anyone who claims that is disqualified from being taken seriously.

- We also know she was traumatized for years, impaired in several ways. Doctors, and specialists testified to this in court.

- We also know, from every study, that in fact the percentage of false accusations of sexual assault are extremely small.

- We also know that Conor is not only rich, but has deep connections with the Irish mafia and that he is a celebrity. Anyone who claims there is a possibility she is lying, ought to likewise admit that there is a possibility there was corruption, and this is why the criminal case was not opened. Many are of this opinion.

- We know Conor has a history of accusations of sexual assault and violent physical harm. We know he has injured civilians. We know he has issues with substance abuse, violent behavior, lack of self control. He injured a bunch of people in the dolly incident, jumped on a ref, an Italian DJ, assaulted an older man at a bar, smashed a fan's phone into the ground outside a club. A woman jumped from a yacht and was rescued by the Red Cross patrol with abdominal injuries saying she was kicked by Conor. Her car was set on fire. Nikita Hand's house was broken into and his BF stabbed.

- So, what are we to believe? That Nikita Hand self-inflicted her injuries after leaving the party, shoving a tampon up her vagina to the point of injury, battering her entire body, while she suddenly started her period. Faked her trauma story when messaging her friend to dupe her. Then duped the doctors, boyfriend, and trauma specialists, and finally the jury.

Or, that Nikita Hand was actually raped, she was intoxicated, traumatized, and didn't know how to process or react for things for hours, as is also not uncommon with victims of assault.

Seriously, to give Conor McGregor "the benefit of doubt" here takes a lot of malice, stupidity, and blindness.

Its really sad to see the downfall of Conor Mcgregor.

I remember in the early days, he was this new prospect that was heavily hyped, people were genuinely excited to see this new talent who can fight, can finish and good trash talking too.

and now to see him like this, money, power and fame probably the worst thing that ever happened to him.

You are beyond repair. Why do you think he is paying for both general and special damages in an assault case where he was found guilty of rape?
Did you even read the article I posted explains the case and what he is paying for? Seems you did not

Not only does your article agree with me, but there's literally a video in this thread of the Irish solicitor that your article interviewed where he explains it in detail. Once the prerequisite of Conor being found guilty of assault/rape was met, the jury could chose from 4 different types of damages to give to the plaintif. The choice of these four damages has no bearing on whether or not they believe he raped her -- they already had to decide that in court just to get to this point, and they decided that he did it.

The source of your article agrees with me that of the 4 possible damages, Conor's paying two: general and special damages for having assaulted/raped nikita hand. You're focusing on the two types of damages that the jury did not make Conor pay as if that somehow negates the entire guilty of assault/rape verdict -- it absolutely does not.

I can only assume that you don't know what you're reading.

So I'll ask you once again, Why do you think he is paying for both general and special damages in an assault case where he was found guilty of rape?

I'll give you a hint -- it's because they found him guilty of raping Nikita Hand.

Well, for one you are wrong he is not a convicted rapist is he? And two we are gonna agree to disagree I guess and just go back and forth with each other.

What are general damages? What are special damages according to Irish code of law?

Why wasn't she awarded the 1 million she was seeking if it's as bad as the picture you paint?

Honestly, we are both wasting our time at this point on a guys personal life I'm not invested in, I just enjoy his fights.

Did he rape her? Possibly! Was he charged and convicted of rape? Absolutely not!

I wasn't there neither were you it's his word against hers and the evidence wasn't strong enough for a criminal case.. so that makes me assume it wasn't rape but a money grab.

She was seeing for 1million saying thats what she would have made... the fuck she do for work to make a million that quick..

At thus point only God and them truly know the truth. We just have assumptions and opinions and ours disagree

In order for them to even decide which damages to assign, they had to find Conor guilty -- that was the pre-requisite opening the doors for them to assign any damages at all. They found he was found guilty in civil court of assaulting Nikita hand via rape.

General damages cover intangible losses due to the physical and mental pain that was engendered by Conor raping her. Conor is paying that. Why is Conor paying that?

Special damages cover loss of tangible income via medical bills/ and loss of income due to the Assault. Conor is paying that. Why is Conor paying that?

One likely reason why she didn't get as much money as she asked for, as suggested by your own source, was that Nikita was trying to get money for moving to a new home. As you know, she had to move after her house was broken into by masked robbers and after her partner was stabbed by those robbers. Her legal team posited to the judge that while they don't believe Conor was directly responsible for that, they believe Conor's followers were. The judge did not find this information relevant/solid enough to share in court so the juror's never heard it, but that is why she was asking for that amount of money; and due to that info being left out in the court, it is also most likely why she didn't get as much as she asked for.

You'd know all of this if you listened to the Irish solicitor who was the source of the article you quoted and misunderstood.

Nobody knows why they chose the damages they chose, but again, they only got to a point where they could chose from damages in the first place because they already had decided that Conor raped her.

And only one thread discussing it? No uproar? No spam threads?

*crickets*

Jon Jones sends out a tweet...
Sherdog explodes with 100+ threads with this vile hatred never seen before in these threads.
Probably got deleted. It's the in thing to do when feelings are hurt with facts

Most probable thing that happened - one idiot got too excited in bed and decided to show few submission moves on the other idiot (consensually). Shortly after the other idiot realising her life is going to sh*t after her partner is leaving her decides to do some damage control by capitalising on the said event and by washing her reputation in the eyes of people around her (I only went there for drinks).

Conor has undoubtedly acted in a degenerate manner on many occasions (e.g., punching an old man). However, adding more accusations based on dubious events involving other questionable individuals seems excessive.
