There's nothing wrong with fluctuating athleticism level. Athletes perform at different levels from year to year. In 2017, Conor was the superior athlete to Tom Brady. Similarly Floyd Mayweather is the GOAT A+ athlete in 2017 for making triple anyone else's money, but in 2018 he probably won't even be on the list and would no longer be considered an A+ level athlete.
