I've always seen this situation as Khabib pissed that he (others as well but I doubt Khabib cares about them) had to go on massive winning streaks to get a sniff at a title shot, while Conor was permitted to do as he pleased. Now that Khabib has some (minimum) leverage he's not letting Dana & Conor just have their way & skip the line for a rematch of a one sided fight.

I think Khabib is trolling Conor, wants to get him riled up. The animosity between the 2 is real, truthfully, a Khabib-Conor rematch would be the best selling fight you can put on in MMA, would make them the most of any potential MMA fight. I think they both want it, Khabib is saying things like 100 million, needs to win more fights to earn it, to get under Conor's skin. I would still favour Khabib, Conor always has at least a puncher's chance, he's got nasty power for the lower weight classes.

No, he has power at 145 against enraged manlets, and that's it. He's never shown any real punching power at 155+. Khabib ate his shots like nothing, and little 130 pounder Floyd literally walked forward smirking. He is rangy and accurate by MMA standards, but his "power" is the most overrated thing about him.

And winning 10 fights to get a rematch. An easier path would be to just become more popular and get back to the point where everyone was calling him out.
