Congrats to Colton Smith

It's funny because he has never deployed and he got knocked out in training a few weeks after taping ended

He laid on every guy through the entire series and beat a natural lightweight (albeit a semi-skilled one) to win the show. Faking glove touches and not shutting up about the military won't get you fans unless you are also an exciting fighter which Colton is not. Ricci might make something of himself at 155 but if he doesn't this entire season of the show was a colossal waste of time and money with no fan friendly or super talented guys coming out of it

I don't like him or his style. I don't see him doing anything in the UFC.

Was hoping Ricci would win, but Colton did what he had to do and did it convincingly, so congrats to Smith... regardless of the esthetics of the fight.

I don't get what all of the hates for. He did what he had to do to win fights. If he boxed everybody he probably wouldn't have even got into the house. Only the strong survive and the strongest man was Colton Smith. This was a real man winning real fights. Just accept how the show unfolded and stop your bitching Sherdog.

He did really well, a dominating performance but his sportsmanship is lacking.

He knew he low blowed Ricci but since Mazzagatti didn't see it he decided to capitalize on that. Same with the cheap shot on touching gloves.

Most fighters would acknowledge their error but I guess he really wanted that TUF contract.

He did stop, looked at mazzagatti and, when he didn't stop it, he continued fighting. Do you expect Colton to give him five minutes to recover?

His sportsmanship was good, patted Ricci on the back and whatnot a few times.

Dudes gonna get shat on no matter what for his entire career for shrugging off the
Harley guy and the glove tap incident. Get over it

Yep, congrats to him. He's one of the few great guys in the show. Hi style reminded me of Stun Gun

I thanked him for his service by paying for his Socialist job with my taxes!

Sorry for breaking your heart sensitive Sally.

If you actually read through my post you'd realize that there was no hostility towards Colton and I merely posted my observation of the fight and from that of his glove touching incident. I did not mention anything else aside from that and in fact praised him for his dominating performance.

No, Sir. You get over your sensitivity.

It's really not that big of a deal that Colton won TUF. What he does is easy, what US soldiers do overseas is hard. They deserve the congratulations.

I'm very honored to have a member of my military family doing great in MMA but stop referring to him as a Ranger he is Ranger qualified there is no Ranger Battalion at Fort Hood.

I wish him well at 155lbs

Just mute the sound. Reminds me of early Koschek, imposing his will. Let's see if he can round out his game. Last night he beat a guy who should fight at 145 so the juries out.

i can enjoy grappling IF there is some back-and-forth. When one fighter dominates but can't get the finish it's pretty boring to watch.

i don't understand all of the love for the Fitch-Silva fight in Brazil either. Fight of the year? I don't think so. Silva won the first half of round one and then got dominated by Fitch (who looked impressive) but I didn't even think it deserved FOTN...

Butt still hurtin' or just posted in wrong thread?

I wanted to like Colton but I never got over that bullshit glove thing. He's extremely boring too. I don't care about him at all.

Worst winner in years. He did nothing but hold him down. I think he showed a prime example of lay and pray.
