Some of these things just sound so strange...obviously imbellished for the sake of shock value.
For instance, he claims to go through four 2.4lbs tubs of protein powder a week, totalling 158lbs and $1,280 over 4 months.
First of all, if he's going through so much protein why is he buying it in tiny 2.4lbs tubs? Why not 5 or 10lbs tubs? That's like doing SOHP with 135, but loading up the bar with 9 5lbs plates on each side instead of one 45...why do things in the least efficient way possible, except to make the numbers look more impressive?
Secondly, going by the nutrition info on my trusty ON whey label, that 10lbs of protein powder a week he's supposedly downing would equate to over 500 grams of protein PER DAY just from protein powder! That's not including the six cans of tuna a day he supposedly eats, which would be an extra 195 grams of protein if he's getting standard size cans. That's like 700 grams just in tuna and protein powder...he'd probably be taking in 800 total if all his numbers were accurate.
He says he was aiming for 1.5 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight, but his numbers come out closer to 4 grams of protein per pound...yeah, something doesn't add up here.
