I finished up Schism got a few questions for you guys.

In the prelude what was the big event they were talking about that Cyclops needed to make a decision on? The prelude didn't really seem to have an connection the events that occurred in Schism. Also since Prof X was in that, why wasn't he in the actually Schism?

What came to happen to the new Hellfire Club that was led by the children, I thought this was the best part of the entire story line

I believe the big event was Messiah Complex and the birth of Hope Summers (the first mutant birth since House of M).

They're still around. They were a huge part of Wolverine and the X-Men, which is a campy X-Men title. I thought it was fun for a bit but then they really went full retard with the Hellfire Kids.

Ok that's probably why I haven't seen them. I didn't read Wolverine and the X-Men I went with Uncanny instead which was awesome and one of my favourite newer storylines.

Why would they have that prelude to Schism then or am I missing the connection here. I haven't read the Messiah Complex stuff yet.

I'm not going to recommend Wolverine & the X-Men either.
When you get to the "Battle for the Atom" storyline, which involves W&X, Uncanny, New X-Men (best x-book out right now), and X-Men, pick it up but drop it when its done if you're not feeling it.

I can't recall exactly but I think Prelude was more of a marketing stunt combined with a way to introduce the storyline quickly.

That's what it seemed like to me as well. They even advertised at the end of some of the issues that the X-Men would be splitting in half with Wolverine leading one side and Cyclops on the other.

I noticed several but I'm sure I missed a lot because I've never read Batman comics before 1988. The ones I noticed:

Tec Cover
Dark Knight Rises city Bat Symbol
Red Hood falling to the acid

Did I miss anything else?

I think there was a few Year One and McFarlane cover homage

Can anyone recommend me any good statues over 11" tall and less than $150? DC, Marvel, Image, whatever. There's an empty space in my glass cabinet and it's killing me.

Kobukiya Dark Knight Returns statue. You should be able to get it for less than $150 including shipping:

About to begin the daunting task of reading all of House of M...

Heard mixed things but I'm feeling like I've missed out because of the significance the events had, gotta be done.

You're going to like it. The artwork is great and the story is good. I think most of the problems stem from how it affected regular titles.

I hope you're right. Took a look at a few of the covers. Really nice looking.

Can we talk about comic book animated films in here too?

I say why the hell not. Dragonlord should have your back in here but Bullitt will most certainly not if you try to do it in the SMD thread.

House of M is one of my favorite Marvel events of all time....

It set the stage at Marvel for what was about 10 years of storylines...

^^Wow, for a sec I thought it was a cosplay costume and was about to be REALLY impressed

Question for Spawn readers: Is Angela a villain or a hero? I've been reading Guardians of the Galaxy and completely didn't know who she was before that.

Ive wanted this statue so badly since I first saw it but I cant justify spending $800 on a comic book statue though.

That is pretty epic. Not to be an elbows too pointy kind of guy, but I would have prefered a more stoic expression (as opposed to angry).

Angela is to Heaven what Spawn is to Hell.
