Comedian's who aren't funny

I'll check it out, I always liked Michael Ian Black on the I Love The (insert decades show).

I actually didn't like Wet Hot American Summer but loved Role Models, never saw Wanderlust.

it's closer to wet hot humor than role models. i don't have a good feeling about this. their set is pretty weird.

I like some weird shit.

Freddy Got Fingered killed me and I always loved all the Kids in The Hall skits and movies.

disagree, but it's not the point.

i'm just commenting on these go to comedians/specials that everyone drowns these threads in.

"Dane Cook sucks so bad"

"I like Richard Pryor and Citizen Kane best. Also, classical music is my favorite, as well as Dostoevsky and everything else that makes me impervious to criticism".

It could be, but i don't think it's a coincidence.

you remind me of a professor I'm currently taking a class from. he's very much into avant garde music, film, art, etc. and extremely well versed in all aspects of popular culture. whenever a student quotes and/or brings up an aspect from a work of that, as you say, makes them "impervious to criticism," such as on the road, clockwork orange, or something from one of the most popularly quoted philosophers, he would figuratively shit all over them and the work that they brought up, and they would simply shut down. they never have an answer because what they never actually care about what they're saying.

you tell that motherfucker that avant garde is the worst offender of all. it eludes criticism by taking the form of utter nonsense. its students are the quickest to say "oh you just don't get it" as they study up on some other dude's interpretation of said nonsense. fuck avant garde.

ehhhh I'll relay the message, but he is a smart ass motherfucker and teaches classes on argumentation and shit. it's not that I don't have faith in you, but he would likely tear you a new asshole if you engage him in debate. I bet you'd kick his ass though.

tell him to meet me on the Dog, and we'll see what's what.

i'll dice his hermann hesse loving ass up.

edit: what class are you taking with this professor?

Lisa Lampanelli and other comedians that are focusing so heavily on racial stereotypes!

Dane cook is an unfunny gimmick. Lots of energy into nonsense jokes with the camera jerking from place to place.

Zack Galifinakis or however it's spelled is shitty too.

I watched Aziz Ansaris first stand up and thought dam he's pretty funny.

However after watching his 2nd stand up I was left thinking fuck this guy, like he did a whole bit about arguing on the internet and telling a guy to suck hippo dicks on the net, fuck me... you're a stand up comic and that's your material doing a recorded hour special ???

Kevin Hart
Mike Epps
DL Hughley
Robin Williams
and of course Dane Cook

That's the real challeng for a comedian -can they get laughs without going for the low hanging fruit of vulgarity and racial jokes.

I prefer comedians who are introspective and insightful -the kind of comedian that is really working hard on their material.

Then again I can laugh at the race and fart jokes too. There's an ounce of truth behind every stereotype -otherwise it wouldn't offend anyone.
