Comedian's who aren't funny

I don't know if it's me, but Todd Glass has gotten less funny since he came out. Not saying he sucks (cause he still has my favorite Comedy Central Presents to this date), but his recent stuff can't even get a chuckle out of me. Hell, i don't even know if anyone knows who Todd Glass is.

That dude who does the terrible pranks on Tosh.0's show? I haven't seen his standup yet, I'll have to check it out. He seems like a very funny guy.

I like him. Haven't heard anything recent from him except radio interviews and he usually comes off funny in them.

He was on Adam Carolla not long ago and tried to confront him about using the word retard as a derogatory term comparing it ti using n***** and f**. I thought it was going to get awkward but Carolla played it off well and turned it into a good bit.

Is Glass's standup starting to get preachy?

In his comedy central show he pulls a lounge singer gimmick with a DJ that gets me rolling each time I watched it.

and yeah, his prank show on TOSH is fucking hilarious

No. it's just not that funny. He has a 5-10 minute bit on his dyslexia that I just dont get. It's on Netflix. I was super excited when i saw it.

Here, a top ten list just to throw it out there. It's missing too many funny people and probably out of order.

1 Carlin
2 Lenny Bruce
3 Eddie Izzard
4 Bill Cosby
5 Louis CK
6 Richard Pryor
7 Bill Hicks
8 Dave Chappelle
9 Mitch Hedberg
10 Doug Stanhope

I completely disagree that material was ever his strength, in any way other than he was good at choosing which things to jack. He is just very charismatic and funny when he's on stage.

should have phrased it a little better, but i meant the writing/structuring part of coming up with material. getting the timing down, etc. his material was still pretty good, imo.

chappelle is much more reliant on his charisma and being funny. if you break down his punchlines and his material, it's kind of goofy. he is just a funny motherfucker. his punchlines have never been a hit with me. he just kills me with his turns of phrase, voices and body language.

dane cook worked out a set carefully, i have to imagine. i dont think he has the charm to get big laughs off the cuff.

What you said about Chappelle is true for Pryor as well, I even think Chappelle must be some kind of reincarnation of that fucker.

Different stuff is gonna appeal to anyone, but I suppose we can agree that Dane Cook knows how to put together a bunch of jokes and make it funny, and at one time he was doing it as well as anybody.

OHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I love his standup and I loved lucky Louis. Not a big fan of his current show.

His TV show is utter shit. I love his standup too and recently downloaded the first season of Louie. Watched it all and I giggled maybe once or twice.

it'd take too long to list them all. it'd be much faster and easier to name the ones that are funny.

louis ck...

the thing about cook is that it would bother me that he would use his old punchlines to get a cheer out of a crowd. That's about it though because he's funny as hell at telling stories. Kind of reminds me of a white Kevin Hart.

In small doses yeah. It's so damn hard to be clean and funny though. Nobody is even close to Cosby there. You named my two favorite current clean comics.

Check out Lucky Louis if you haven't yet. It was on HBO and I cried from laughing during some episodes.

NORM!

What'd you think of 'Ridiculous'?

Verrrrrrrrrry Cheech and Chong-esque IMO.

i like how there's absolutely no shock value. Louis CK is a funny fucker, and the same with Bill Burr, but sometimes they pull some "punch a baby in the head" type shit that's just like "c'mon, dude". you don't have to be a great comedian to get those kinds of laughs.

Reagan is the man. I was debating between him and Gaffigan to put on my list.
