I doubt Gamebred has a 100 million.
You think?
I doubt Gamebred has a 100 million.
Not sure I buy all this. He spent all that time talking shite because he wanted to. He wanted to expand his profile, to make some real money in the UFC.
Now, he's thrown all that to the side because of this case. Because it's personal? No, I don't think so. It's always been about money for him, lighting up someone he's beefing with has been icing on the cake. I think it's because he thinks he's going to get a huge payday from this.
That's kind of dumb, because 1) he's basically giving up on his UFC career, and 2) I don't even think he has a shot to make that much money.
Can someone tell me how much money he thinks hes going to get from jorge?
Bruh, the case doesn't last forever. He will be back. It's not gonna cost him his career.
If he is actually beefing with someone, then that is personal. Things can be both personal and about money it's not either or
That would be unprecedented, no one gets remotely close to that for simple assault.I imagine he's thinking upwards of $10 million, otherwise it doesn't make sense to fuck over his MMA career like this.
The longer he sits on the sidelines, not training, not fighting, not talking to the media... the more he hurts his career.

Who says he isn't training?
Bruh, fighters sit out all of the time, because of injuries and other stuff. It's far from a career killer. I think you're making this a bigger thing than it actually is.
Lets dissect Colby's only relevant wins..."Cumshot Chimaev"
Yeah but at this point, Colby doesn't have a better win than Khamzat does.who cumshot? colby was vocal about him, he aint fighting no hype train with quick push just so cumshot could steal some shine. he will waint untill he proves himself to fight him
His lawyers probably just see him as a payday and are lying to him to get him to pay them more money. That's what I'm saying... so why the career pause if the payout is so limited? I think his lawyers are conning him into thinking he's going to make big money with this shit..

even then I don't see it being more than he could have made in the UFC; he was gaining momentum after having a close fight with Usman and beating Masvidal. But of course the lawyers don't care about the amount of money he is foregoing by putting his career on pause.Unless.............
Part of the settlement terms for the civil case include dropping the criminal charges.
I could see that being worth some potentially big money.
Sherdog lawyers, is that legal?

I'm not a lawyer, but I know situations like that do happen. I don't know if it's legal but it does happen and when people get found out doing it no charges are pressed. Like when companies pay people to drop charges against men for sexual harassment, I'm not sure if that is legal but it might as well be.True, unless.....
This is a tri-party negotiation with the UFC. Maybe they're negotiating for favorable treatment in the UFC as well as money from Jorge, in order to drop the charges.
I have no idea if this is possible, but it seems like this is the only logical reason to be doing what Colby's doing, other than getting conned by his lawyers.
He's suffering from PJSD - Post Jorge Stress Disorder
He can't be going around talking shit or taking fights if he is gonna claim brain damage.
It's gotta be a hard life to try and keep up with that schtick 24/7. He's probably enjoying a real life and knows that when he does "return" it'll be a big deal.
Luque is not nearly as close of a threat as the other 3 and I doubt Colby has a problem facing any of them, if it also makes business sense. Dude is a pro fighter with real confidence in himself. Dude has put in on Usman twice, and never quit despite the adversity he faced in those fights. If you think he is afraid to fight anyone in his weight class, you don't really understand the mindset of an elite fighter. No offense.
