CM Punk gets video response from JDF (Green Ranger)

I didn't insult the writers at Disney.

Neither of us mentioned the movies, and Marvel's writers (not sure about DC's) have nothing to do with the movies, which are based, almost exclusively, on characters that were created by writers that are either retired, dead, or Stan Lee.

Actually if you watched the whole interview from C2E2 he's writing Drax the Destroyer based on the character from the movie Guardians of the Galaxy.

Also, he wrote the foreword for one of the worst written Marvel series' in the past 15 years, and he's shared authorship on ONE comic. One. Comic, not comics. And only for Marvel, not DC.
He's apparently co-writing another one for Marvel. So, later this year, or maybe sometime next year you can make the above claim again (minus DC), and be a touch closer to the truth.

/facepalm. You sir are misinformed. I'll accept your apology when you've watched it.

Jason David Frank has higher level striking and higher level BJJ. I really don't see CM Punk winning this at all if this fight happens.

you know this how? JDF has 1 pro fight that, most likely, nobody outside of the location of the fight has seen. There is even less information on Punk's fighting skills. So have you trained with both of these guys or did you pull this info directly out of your ass?

What comic did he write the forward for?

I didn't watch the interview at all, but I knew that, and I mentioned it in my post. That was why I said your statement would be true later this year.
Doesn't change the fact that he's written one comic, one issue for one title. For Marvel, not Marvel and DC, which you claimed.

Also, Drax the Destroyed predates the Guardians of The Galaxy movie (and the current Guardians of the Galaxy comic team) by about 40 years. So, no, he is not based on the character from the movie.

I can say this without a reasonable doubt. Of course I don't know 100% for sure, but at this moment in time JDF has a 7th degree black belt in Karate, he's competed in Muay Thai, and he has purple belt in BJJ with one of his amateur wins by omoplata. CM Punk has dabbled in Kempo Karate, has not been training anything but BJJ until a few months ago, and is probably blue belt level in BJJ.

I know I cannot say 100% who is better, but if you look at the accomplishments and history of each then the obvious favourite is going to be Jason David Frank.

Well if you actually watched the interview you would know that this Drax is being written based on the one portrayed in the movies. Also he wrote Thor and as of March he has written for Vertigo ( owned by DC ) for a series called Strange Sports.

I'll accept that apology anytime now.

He has also had a couple of amateur fights and I'm pretty sure every amateur and pro fight are on youtube.

He may not be the best fighter but he at least has proof of his skills.

As I said before JDF needs this fight to stay relevant, to stay in the spotlight. Because Punk's first fight ( if he has skills or not ) will be a huge ppv payday. He says Dana doesnt have to pay him. But he will still get a cut from the buys and the gate. As well as a chance of getting a contract. Punk doesn't have to do shit. He doesnt even need to be doing this. And that pisses people off.

You're ambitious if you're expecting an apology on Sherdog. lol.

Got to be polite. If nothing else. Im trying to say that Punk has other sources of fame than just pro wrestling. Also other incomes which are more relevant and more famous than JDF has. Also probably has more integrity as well. You know he's not going to get busted for PEDs or recreational drugs.

Don't forget that reebok money

belt status doesn't mean much. It's one persons interpretation of another's skill level. I've seen purple belts tap out black belts and I'm sure you have too. Karate generally doesn't translate very well into MMA although there have been exceptions of course. Muay Thai does though and if he actually has competed then I would agree he would certainly be a strong favorite.

This has prestigious UFC 200 co-main event written all over it.

Take that boxing, no wonder you're dead.

Well we never know for sure, but you'd expect him not to use PEDs/recreation drugs seeing as he's straight edge lol.

Punk wouldn't make it to the final bell. I'm not sayin that JDF is Sensei Segal, but you don't get a 7th degree black belt in anything from a cracker jacks box. Dude would probably beat punk up pretty badly lol.
