I remember when Obama was running the black panthers were trying to intimidate voters at the booths, just think of what the BLM animals are going to do this time around lol.
Where do you live, holy fuck?! I voted for Obama twice, but certainly not because of intimidation...

We all know the war the majority of mainstream media has waged against Trump. He's been portrayed as the next Adolf Hitler, and they've done everything they can to shame his supporters - painting them as uneducated, racist, rednecks.

I have a feeling that there is a LARGE contingent of voters who will vote Trump when the time comes, but are afraid to admit it due to the stigma attached. Most people are non-confrontational and don't want to rock the boat, so maybe they tell their liberal friends, family and coworkers that they don't know who they're voting for. Maybe they even say they're going to vote for Hillary.

Is this possible? Or do you think this is wishful thinking on the part of a Hillary hater? I don't live in the States so I'm unaware of the political climate on the ground level there.

Yeah, the horrible social stigma attached to anonymous polling has random Trump supporters telling complete strangers they will never meet on a phone they are voting for Hillary.

In Sweden, a so-called right-wing party constantly gets lower percentages of support in the polls compared to their results in the election.

At the same time, media pushed the extreme left wing feminist party and according to their polls, received much higher support than they did in the election.

One of the companies that do polls that have been the best at nailing the support for the rights wing party is rejected by mainstream media because they don't agree with how they measure these polls.

What's funny about that is that they loved to use their polls when left wing parties received soaring support.

And just to clarify, I have never voted or supported the right wing party in question. I only despise medias bias and dishonesty.

It's not something that constantly happens. There was a time last year when there was article upon article about that party going well over the 20% mark in polls, which you can compare to the 12.9% they got in the election.

Polls were clearly off about them before the election, but that's happen with parties before (FP in their biggest election to name one example), and while the party we're talking about isn't liked in popular media, or by other parties, they are of course also playing hard on the victim role because of this. We can just look at the various scandals around the environmental party in fairly recent times to see that media can certainly focus a lot on negative issues with parties on the left as well. You can only imagine what would happen in media if any of the established parties had scandals like the iron pipe incident (or frequent racism scandals in general), so the victim role is exaggerated.

And I didn't vote for any party I've mentioned either.

All I will tell you is this: I live in the most liberal state in America, and all I've seen are dozens of Trump supporters, a few Bernie supporters and "Hillary For Prison 2016" stickers everywhere. I have yet to see even one Hillary supporter anywhere, one time.

Hillary has no enthusiasm among her voters. But enthusiasm doesn't win elections, otherwise ron paul would be the president.

The fact of the matter is, the average 50 year old black woman(the most likely demograph to vote hillary) may not care too much about the elections but she is still going to vote for hillary. And her vote will count just as much as the enthusiastic trump supporter than went to every rally.

The 20 year old college liberal wanted bernie but he is still going to reluctantly vote for hillary to avoid the nazi.

And so will the mexican immigrant that can barely speak english.

Yet Hillary still managed to get millions more votes than Trump did in the primaries. Quiet votes count the same as loud votes on election day.

That's about the size of it. For All the media coverage (good and bad), crowds and tweeting, I think you are still going to find that it is ground networks and money that wins elections. Hillary has much more money and a vast ground network compare to Trumps 12 Celebrity Apprentice finalists and Scott Baio helping him out (along with the 12 y/o out west somewhere).

Actually, for every 1 percent increase in college degrees amongst a population, Trump loses .65% of the vote. It's not just the kids in college that won't vote for him.

He wasn't kidding about loving the poorly educated...

a different political opinion in many liberal companies/workplaces or places with a lot of minorities or millennials could easily be career suicide.

I'm reading a book about the beginning of WW2 and Germany sounds a lot more like Obama's America in terms of censorship, media control, using false accusations in spite of logical arguments to shame or guilt a large portion of the population, etc....

Yeah, didn't sound like it. That's not how the real works, friend. I mean, don't be a dick and start talking politics with people who don't care or start fights about it, but no one has their career ended for having a different political opinion.

don't be an idiot jack.

I've had a few jobs that were very political within the departments and there are definitely people who will try to
sabotage other people's jobs.

You and I see things very differently. If people saw the big picture, they would never have voted Trump in the primary. You just needed a standard issue Republican, or one who could pretend to be one, and the Hillary hate could easily have given them the boost they needed. But no, they pick the one candidate with unfavorable numbers worse than Hillary's. Trump was basically nominated by <10% of eligible voters, he is going to get ruined on election day. In my opinion, he is probably performing better in polls than he will then, especially those conducted online.

Fair enough, I hope neither Trump nor Hillary get elected so they can both rot in a cell as far as I'm concerned lol.

LOL

plagiarizing @DannyNL

Did you just make a threat pretending to share an original thought? Trump's campaign manager brought this up and it's been all over the news.

Delete your account loser. SAD! DISHONEST!!!

This suggestion has been around since he started campaigning. It's never turned out to be true. Even while he was winning the nomination, the "silent supporters" just never materialized.

Every time it comes up, I assume it's a planted story to offset potential loss of support by reassuring people that they are not alone in supporting him. If too many on the fence voters think they're alone in their Trump support, they might not come out to vote. This gives them something to believe in.

Have you ever voted in your life? You realize that even though someone may piss on your shoes on your way to vote no one can follow you into the booth or even general voting area, right?

You do know that...right?
