I think it's a very real possibility in the next decade.

Unlikely this election. Texas is a pretty solid red state. If it becomes even close in texas that will be an indicator of major issues for the republicans.

The republican party will be completely screwed when it becomes a toss up state. The north east used to have lots of republicans but those places have been filled with democrats. Where do they go if they can't depend on Texas?

i'm surprised more of it isn't, giving the heavy hispanic population in many parts of Texas

Just an aside here, old magic cards are worth a ton of money still.
Sure, there are beanie babies and baseball cards that are worth something too, but they are not a good investment in general.

The 90's were pretty nuts with collecting fads that ended up being duds (pogs, star wars figures, homies, etc...)

I got worked for my allowance money by the damn baseball card market lol, I feel you. I just mentioned MTG because it's surprising how well the cards held value. It helps that the cardboard itself is used in a competitive game though, unlike baseball cards which are just garbage really.

We know red states arent a big fan of democracy. Gotta hope to win somehow.
Blue states aren't big fans of the constitution, trying to ban free speech from colleges and threaten violence on people who vote republican. revolution against anti american liberals.

Let's be honest, a Texas democratic majority wouldn't be far left anyways, so there's that.

Governor Abbott and AG Paxton's eventual incarceration won't do the GOP any favors though. They almost make Rick Perry seem legit.

A few months ago I would have laughed at Texas going blue, but with states like GA and MO tightening up, who knows. Oddly enough, Oregon is in danger of going red. That hasn't happened since '80 IIRC.

May was well be what the Republican party needs to wake up.

Trump's refusal to endorse Ryan might be the biggest blunder of his campaign, and that's saying something. Now he draws the ire of everyone in the GOP with any clout, and has to fight a war on two fronts. All for a trivial and petty tantrum.

At this point, I'm convinced all the [educated] Trump shills on this forum are trolling when they say he's going to win. Or they're foolishly hoping for a hail mary email indictment. Because he has absolutely no chance, and come November I expect the most lopsided defeat in modern times.

Maybe Republicans will take that as a warning sign and modify their policies accordingly.

Who am I kidding?

Surprised it hasn't happened already. They have a lot of immigrants and immigrants and non whites are what turned California permanently blue

Hispanics and blacks tend to side with the right on social issues. Yeah sure they like the liberal handouts and enjoy the benefits of granted victimhood but at the end of the day God is numero uno and that's enough to sustain Texas' boondock culture.

Texas would gerrymander the shit out of themselves. Like an Escher drawing.

I find that statement borderline racist and inaccurate.

I am going to call it.

Texas turns blue.

Trump will implode.

I honestly think Clinton destroys Trump.

GOP losses both houses. When I look at the demographics I don't see a Trump victory at all.

The media is openly anti Trump. I question the accuracy of these polls.
