You can politely fuck off with talking about privilege to try and convince me to vote for a woman who has built a mountain of power and capital off of the backs of people of color, who she then demonized, threw in jail, and mocked, all the while dangling the carrot of actual change in front of them. Let me remind you that, however humble it was, the very little redemption that persons of color have gained in the past 40 years came as a result of overcoming Clinton's 2008 primary bid and electing a politician of some actual virtue (who she subsequently ran a racist campaign against). Electing a racist aristocrat will never be the answer, at least not for people like me.

However much you may dislike Cornel West, he just recently gave a fairly on-point interview briefly explaining why a Clinton will likely never deserved color peoples' votes and why it is a matter of disgusting white privilege for liberals like you to try to convince them that it is their political imperative. So I say, again, fuck off.

I love this line of thinking. It is basically saying to black voters, "hey you are not smart enough to know you are being used." That's really the way to endear yourself to that community.

Question: What can we do about the constant flow of illegal immigrants into the united states?

Non-Sensible Answer: Offer them safe haven. Never deport them. Give them assistance of all kinds, drivers license, and the right to vote. Accommodate their language and culture to the best of our ability.

Sensible Answer: Build a wall

Question: What can we do to protect ourselves from the constant flow of islamic terrorism happening all over the world?

Non-Sensible Answer: Show them that we love them by bringing in as many muslims as possible with very little vetting. Then go overseas and blow up and destablize entire countires.

Sensible Answer: Don't let muslims in the country for awhile

Well considering a wall will not keep people out so it a non-answer and that countries that do support immigration tend to do better economically in the long run, you have is backwards...as you normally do.

Very little vetting, well that is a straight lie. Refugees are vetting before they come to this country. Let's also forget that banning people from coming here based on religion would be unconstitutional. Here I thought it was us liberals who wanted to ignore the Constitution.

What a terrible post

Oh my.

That's clearly false.

Er, yes. All the time. The whole criticism is stupid--every element of it is false (as you unwittingly demonstrated in another thread)--, and not something that people are coming up with organically.

Yes to the last, and the other two are, again, mind-blowingly stupid criticisms. Republicans get 98% of political donations from people connected to the oil industry. Clinton, being the Democratic nominee gets most of that remaining 2%, which on an individual level puts her up there. It's risible that someone knocking other people's intelligence cannot immediately figure out the problem with that attack.

Genius, *you* are the one incorrectly asserting that I pretend that all criticisms of the Clintons are right-wing propaganda. In fact, I note that most of the character-based attacks are a result of a decades-long propaganda campaign by the right. I myself have posted actual criticisms. So what's happening here is that you're dishonestly inventing a position for me and then attacking me for holding it.

lol

You do realize that she was a top recipient of oil bribes years before being the Democratic nominee, yes? It's also interesting that the rest of the prominent Democrat tickets are not included in that sacred fraternity of oil money. I would expect a more even-handed approach from such a shrewd private interest.

Sadly, it is necessary to an extent. Black voters have been disenfranchised from the political process and marginalized into supporting persons like Clinton. Tough love from our black leaders is necessary, but pandering from white establishment liberals to fall in line contrary to the community's interests is unacceptable.

If you have any evidence of bribes, you should report it. I'm sure the GOP would be happy to spend a few million dollars of gov't money and waste a lot of time looking into it.

Huh? Obama's campaigns got donations from energy companies. Again, way less than Republicans got but about as much as Clinton.

..or you know black people could look at what the candidates are saying and vote for who they think is best. Personally I think they are capable of this.

It would make it very difficult for people to sneak across the border.

It depends on the type of I.migrants and what they do when they get here. Any examples of mass influx of Muslims helping out a country?

Plus there's other things to consider beyond economics like culture and security.

That's why you don't use religion as the criteria. You ban people coming in from certain areas of the world. The effect is the same...stop bringing in potentially radical Muslims.

No, unless the fence was manned the entire length it would make it mildly less convenient. Ladders and shoves are available in Mexico.

Well American culture is not at risk. If you think it is please point that out to me. As far as security, well that maybe a concern, but so far here the bigger concern is home grown terrorist. Frankly the risk of attacks are still small enough to hardly be considered.

Okay, so stop saying ban Muslims, because that denotes a religion. Plus, have fun not allowing those Christians fleeing violence in.

I guess we shouldn't put locks on our doors as long as lock picks exist

Sure it is although not solely by Muslims but also the elites. It all goes hand in hand. The values that our culture is based on is under attack. Things like right to bear arms, free speech, economic freedoms, and basic sovereignty are being taken away from us. Part if what I s allowing this to happen is decades of bringing in people who do not share our values and vote against them.

The west gets attacked by muslins every other day

But the goal us to keep radical Muslims out so I'll keep saying Muslims.

Door lock costs very little compared to a wall. Plus, you don't need lock picks just a swift boot. Door locks keep honest people out.

Welcome to democracy! That is one on the thing you have to except in a free democracy, some will vote again that very idea. Funny how that works.

Now as far as the other freedoms being under attack they are not serious attack save for one. Freedom of speech is not under attack. It still remains a very simply concept that freedom of speech is about protection of the government, not other people disagreeing with you or even shut down a talk. With the internet freedom of speech is seeing it's high mark right now.

The right to bear arms, is also as strong as it has ever been. The Supreme Court has thrown out sweeping bans, and the regulations being talked about restrict those who are all ready restricted.

As far as economic freedom yes that is under attack, but that is from years of right wing economic policies which have created a huge divide between the wealth and everyone else.

The west gets attacked by muslins every other day
Yes, the West. Thing is we are talking about refugees coming to this country, which has much higher bar for them to pass then the EU.

But the goal us to keep radical Muslims out so I'll keep saying Muslims.

Which means it is unconstitutional...words mean things.

News Analysis: Trump could win White House if turning election into referendum on Clinton
2016-07-19 01:52:23
WASHINGTON, July 18 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump needs to make the election a referendum on rival Hillary Clinton if he wants to clinch the White House in November, experts said.

The brash and argumentative Trump risks losing votes to Americans who could choose Clinton simply because she's an alternative to Trump, who is struggling to overcome perceptions that he's a hot head and does not possess the temperament to be president.

Trump has galvanized rank-and-file Republicans who are fed up with elites in Washington they believe do not represent them, and are fed up with the weak economy that has taken a serious toll on the country's working class, despite denial in Washington.

At the same time, Trump has made outlandish statements that have sparked serious concern about him, comparing Mexicans to rapists and calling for a ban on Muslims coming to the United States. That has offended the crucial Latino voting block and has turned off many independents.

But if Trump can turn the tables on Clinton and make the elections a referendum on Clinton's many scandals and perceived leadership failures, he could well clinch the White House, experts argued.

"Right now the election is a referendum on Trump," Republican strategist Ford O' Connell told Xinhua. "If he can make it a referendum on Hillary Clinton, or what the white working class voter perceives as a rigged economy, he will win."

"Trump wants to make it a referendum on Clinton and Clinton wants to make it a referendum on Trump. Whoever wins that war is going to win the election," O' Connell said.

Monday kicked off the long awaited Republican National Convention, where Trump is expected to pick up the party's official endorsement as their presidential candidate.

At a time when the U.S. is reeling from the ambush and murder of nearly a dozen police officers within less than two weeks, and tensions between blacks and police are at a decades-long high, Trump is touting as the "law and order" candidate.

This also comes at a time when terrorists are on the march worldwide, having carried out major terror attacks in the last month in the U.S. state of Florida, Istanbul of Turkey and Paris of France, resulting in the death of hundreds of innocent civilians.

Trump has labelled Clinton as incompetent while serving as Secretary of State under President Barack Obama, because the world has become more dangerous under Obama's watch, and Clinton played a role in the resurgence of terrorism.

Trump has also argued that the recent spate of anti-police violence, in which five officers in Dallas, Texas and three officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana were ambushed and killed by black gunmen, threatens to spiral into a total breakdown of law and order in the United States.

The New York real estate tycoon has contended that a Clinton victory would make these situations worse, and experts said if he continues this narrative successfully, he may well win.

In a recent Gallup poll, the only two institutions in the U.S. that currently have majority popular support are the military and the police, at a time when Americans take a dim view on most institutions, especially Congress. That may bode well for Trump, experts said.

Democratic nominee Clinton leads the bombastic billionaire by just 3.2 points in Monday's Real Clear Politics' national poll average - which is essentially a tie, given the 2-point margin of error.

But Trump is leading in a number of crucial swing states, according to recent polls.

The Quinnipiac University's swing states poll showed Trump is ahead in the states of Florida and Pennsylvania, while he is tied with Clinton in Ohio. That bodes well for Trump in a system whereby winning or losing those states often makes or breaks a candidate.

"He can win, but he obviously doesn't have time on his side. But the recent bad week for Hillary Clinton with the emails really helped him out a lot," O' Connell noted.

Indeed, recent weeks saw the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fail to indict Clinton over accusations that her use of a non-government email account and a server in her home was a breach of national security standards while she served as secretary of state.

But, while Clinton was cleared, FBI chief James Comey said publicly that the candidate was irresponsible in dealing with the nation's security.

Dude like 50% of the illegal immigrants coming to this country do so by coming legally on a travel visa then just never going back. My friends did this exact thing from Brazil on the guise of going to Disneyland. They are now legal citizens thanks to the Dream Act sorry if that triggers you. Lmao.

A wall is going to do shit all especially across such a gigantic border, Mexico already built one with guns on their south border and it doesn't stop massive amounts of other South Americans coming up. And as I already said even if it curbed it by 50% you still have tons of people coming in a variety of other avenues. People aren't just going to give up on going to America because of a big wall.

Second of all Canada has a mass Muslim immigration, it is their 2nd most popular religion behind christianity now. They have almost no problems whatsoever. In fact the proportion of Muslims in Canada is 3x higher than America. So what gives with Americans freakig the fuck out?

In my opinion, Hillary is a filthy corrupt self serving snake that will continue this country down the toilet

Trump is not that so he has my vote

The last thing Trump wil do is make the campaign about someone else.

Not to mention that that's a totally vacuous point. Clinton will win by a bigger margin if it's a referendum on Trump as an individual or on white nationalism generally or if it's a more issues-based decision, etc.

BTW, very interesting that both the Russian and Chinese gov'ts are openly rooting for Trump.

OK, so then we cut it down 50%. Sounds good.
