Movies Cliffhanger 2 - Sylvester Stallone returning!

If he’s 76 and still able to get around he’s doing better than %99 of people, who gives a shit what he’s taking.

If he dies of steroid abuse at 85 was he wrong to take them?

his choice, he's had a great life, lived an above average span. I don't particularly want to see him hurt himself but it's his choice.

Great action movie; Lithgow play villains incredibly well. His voice and mannerism just lead to believing he is a criminal mastermind. Also plays unassuming well considering he's legit 6'4 with a broad build

This, dude played maniacal super well.

Such an underrated villain.
The best part was how calm and calculating he was the entire movie but when Sly shreds his money in the helicopter blades he just loses his shit.

so some people are going to go up like K2, get stuck in an avalanche or some shit, and theyre gonna have to find the only man talented enough to rescue them.

Right?

But, why?
Why not?

Star Wars died under Disney and the best series on television today is a sequel to the Karate Kid starring Ralph Macchio and Billy Zabka. So I say again, why not? Why the fuck not?

Stallone is like Silver Age Superman, growing in power as he ages. He still does action just fine.

Well, maybe it's just me getting old and projecting, i know mortality is on my mind a lot and I'm a lot younger.. Who knows. I know that Prince was moving fine for most of his life and come to find out the dude had all kinds of pain.

Stallone is fine I would think. His mind is clear as ever, I happen not to enjoy it when I see some of these guys pass and oftentimes, it's chasing relevance that does it. The thing these days is people who aren't really even known, just people that have a miniscule following online are dying young just to get compliments and thumbs ups, it's sick in any case.

Sly can do what he wants but he's not a bad actor, he could do more stuff just strictly acting if he wanted.

I get that a lot.

I just hope that maybe one day my kids can live in a world free from Matlock related violence.
more mayberry/Andy Griffith and less of the old untraviolence.

This is exactly right. And who decides what exactly is 'steroid abuse'?
I know what steroid use is, but what is 'abuse'? They don't really run controlled group studies (although they should) and keep it underground.
You've got Sly and Louie Simmons as examples. Louie died in his 70s and had used them all his life. He was able to keep strong and do something he loved all his life. Who decides he should have been some skinny vegan boomer who has no muscle mass and falls and breaks his hip and later dies at the same age?

Muscle mass is more important as you get older. It should be your business if you want to 'push the envelope' or whatever with your health.
Having said that, Sly needs to work on his legs. He is renowned for not training legs. In some of his more recent flicks he has looked like some muscled up dude riding a seagull.

What I wanna know is why tf isn't Renny Harlin directing this?

Stallone's comeback movie. His career was dead by '93, but man this film delivered and has one of the greatest trailers ever to boot

I remember I was on Team Arnie at the time and we rented Cliffhanger and Last Action Hero close enough to each other. I was so disappointed that Sly's movie was better, but I was probably too young to get Last Action Hero.

I still haven't watched it fully

The spoof from Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls was quite good.
