Classic Doom 1 & 2 chat

Just started the remasters and very impressed so far. I love the interface and easy of use. You can jump in and start playing within 30 seconds. I also like how accurate the games are to the original just with some modern conveniences. I loved GZDOOM and it has more options but this feels more accurate. Better yet, it's free since I already owned DOOM and DOOM II in Steam. I just wish it had SIGIL II. Hopefully that gets added for free or with some DLC.

It does have Sigil II, you just have to go from the main menu after you select a game to launch (eg launching Doom or Doom 2) then scroll to “Mods” then “Featured Mods” and Sigil II will be one of the first ones listed. After you click on it, click on “subscribe” and it will download Sigil II and then you go back to the Mods tab and select “play” to launch Sigil II. It’s very easy to do and takes seconds.

I honestly don't know what's going on with that new release stuff

I can't be bothered to keep up but it's also a lot of nonsense they tried to make their own port that has bugs I can't guarantee my maps work properly there and I'm not testing them all

But I have them all in the official idgames archive

Cool. Any way to play it with the non-midi soundtrack yet? I found Sigil Shreds as a mod which has the Buckethead soundtrack.

I assume there would probably something similar if you searched through the mod browser that eventually you’d come across Sigil 2 with the Thorr soundtrack but I cannot say for certain.

Is this a new map? I thought you released your Crate Expectations megawad a while ago? Was this map included in that or is it new? Or am I just flat out wrong about you releasing Crate Expectations already and it’s still a work in progress?

Yeah released whole set about a year ago but wanting to do reveal vids for each map. We'll... this I'd how slow I am
