Out of town for a work meeting the first half of next week so I got a Sunday session in. I'll try to get a day pass at a gym on Tuesday, but I think that town only has a box gym that might not have what I am looking for.

I spent $10 for a day pass to an Anytime Fitness since I was out of town. It was a small tourist town so the gym wasn't packed, but the experience confirmed my decision to go with my home gym set up.

The place only had one rack and there was a girl using it when I got there. At first I was getting pissed because she was just stretching in it, but then she started doing front squats so it made sense. Took her about 20 minutes to finish up and I jumped on it for bench. The plates they had were small diameter so I thought that was weird.

Other than that I was mostly able to use things with minimal waiting. When I finished with the rack a guy jumped in there and deadlifted in front of it. That was odd because there was a pretty clear area for deadlifts right next to the rack, but he insisted on blocking off the rack anyway. It looked like he only did a set or two with no warm up before moving on to DB bench that was too heavy for him.

I didn't like it.
 
Had to take my dog to the vet this morning to have her put down. Don't feel like lifting shit. RIP Teen Wolf.

I didn't want to bring any shitty souvenir back, but I did anyways. Tested positive for covid today. Seems pretty mild so far, but there was no way I was going to be able to lift today. Hope the shit goes away quick. Only good thing is I can work remotely, but I can't travel for a week. Might give me a chance to get caught up on some things.
 
Hope it stays mild and you're on the downslide soon. That shit from last year was no joke. You wouldn't be getting anything done but sleeping and coughing on couch. Sunlight helps the groggy feeling

Took a week and a half off because of covid and I lost 8 pounds. Luckily today was the start of a new wave so the volume was lower. I was gassing out pretty quick and coughing quite a bit. Felt good to get back to it, but it was a struggle.
