Nobody is taking the AG seriously Bob, approval for Barr's decision is at 39%, which is even lower than Trump's approval rating. I mean only slightly more than half of Americans even accept that the Trump campaign didn't criminally conspire with Russia, which is a much higher standard than just collusion, which encompasses inappropriate and unethical contacts.
And, if it's true about there being more shady shit in there than has been previously reported (e.g., we only know about Manafort sharing polling data because his lawyer is dumber than Cohen) and/or if there are things that came out of people flipping that could not be corroborated to the level that Mueller would feel comfortable taking it to court (e.g., not just making it Gate's word against Manafort's) then it just plays into the narrative that Trump is guilty of obstructing the Russia investigation and he brought in a shill to save him, regardless of what Mueller actually concluded about the criminal conspiracy, and that there is more to the story that couldn't come out because of Trump's obstruction and offers of pardons. The appearance of a cover up just breeds conspiracy theories that will never go away.
Overall though, it's absurd that all of the right wingers who applauded wikileaks for "allowing for transparency" (as part of a crime by Russian hackers) are now fighting against the release of what prosecutors want to tell the public about the investigation. Trump defenders just don't have a leg to stand on here, I mean come on. Bill "Mueller is my friend" Barr is tainted and writes a new desperate memo every few days to try to cover for his previous memos, Rod "the wire" Rosenstein is already tainted from firing Comey which is why he needed to appoint Mueller in the first place, and the OLC was legally beaten and tainted like a week into Trump's presidency.
