It would look bad if he briefed the WH since it would appear that he is working with the president instead of acting independently and his summary would be less credible. In other words he would look like a partisan. It seems to be splitting hairs since we know he is a partisan and its' not that surprising since presidents nominate the AG. But someone with integrity would leave loyalty aside if they were presented evidence of crimes. Everything so far points to the idea that Barr gave Trump political cover.I don't get why he would refuse to answer that. Is it a problem if he briefs the white house on the report?
If he didn't brief the WH he would have just said "no" and that would be the end. Refusing to answer indicates to me that he did brief the WH and doesn't want to say it.
