I don't get why he would refuse to answer that. Is it a problem if he briefs the white house on the report?
It would look bad if he briefed the WH since it would appear that he is working with the president instead of acting independently and his summary would be less credible. In other words he would look like a partisan. It seems to be splitting hairs since we know he is a partisan and its' not that surprising since presidents nominate the AG. But someone with integrity would leave loyalty aside if they were presented evidence of crimes. Everything so far points to the idea that Barr gave Trump political cover.

If he didn't brief the WH he would have just said "no" and that would be the end. Refusing to answer indicates to me that he did brief the WH and doesn't want to say it.

If Barr is providing information to tRUmp about ongoing criminal investigations that tRUmp could be a witness to, it may be an issue

Every post you type tRUmp because why? You look gotten to and very biased so how do you expect anyone to care about your words?

Strange

Who would had thought tRUmp would such a trigger word or that it’d take a year to feaster.

I thought Barr response to questions around the ACA and did the Justice Department do any kind of research on what would happen if their litigation was successful. His response was basically no they didn’t do any kind of research but at the end of the day do you really think we’re going to win. I thought that a poor response and if they didn’t plan to win what was the point? Why put resources towards an endeavor you know is going to lose? Is this another example of tromp telling people what to do regardless if they think it is worthwhile or not because at the end of the day you do what Trump says or he’ll find somebody else that will

Nah son, it’s super clever and mega triggers all the tRUmptsers.

That's the absolute worst way to lead the country, but anything really. As a leader you need a certain level of loyalty but we want leaders that hire/appoint/nominate smart people with the country's best interest in mind and have the self-awareness to know when they need to adjust his/her thinking and change course when presented with evidence.

Those types of folks quit when they realized Trump is a stubborn moron. The "Yes Sir!" types he is surrounded with now are talent less and looking for personal gain, power. It's truly a recipe for disaster.

Let's hope it's not a version that is redacted beyond recognition or one that is improperly redacted (keeps out damning parts for political reasons).

It'll be funny when this is what you cling to for the next year as well.

But there might have been some damming Trump/Russia collusion behind a black line! (despite Mueller saying there is not)

I'm sure there'll be a few more shady financial dealings and/or Trump being a dumbass and nearly obstructing for you to gnaw on tho.

Why do you believe this?

We don't know what Mueller has said yet, right?

Did I piss in your cereal or something?

He stated “nobody is taking the AG seriously”.

What an unbelievably asinine statement.

He is the chief law officer of the United States. His word was the last word on the subject, no matter how salty you fools are over it. That is as serious as can be.
Again you show absolutely no understanding of the Constitution of the US and speak entirely from ignorance.

No Barr or the AG does not have the last word on this. If you understand the Separation of Powers and Checks and Balances in the US Constitution that role belongs to Congress. that is not something that is up to debate.

And yes, no one takes Barr, as the auditioning hand picked political appointee of Trump seriously. Him releasing the Barr Report did not change the views of the citizens one iota. Barr's words held literally zero sway as the polls pre and post Barr report show on trump favorability, something that a exoneration should have given him.

Good point.

I should have taken that bet with @waiguoren

it is pure politics for Trump.

Its like him using Emergency Powers to try and get money for his Wall, something that anyone with any brains knows will fail in the Courts.

Trump can say 'I tried'... 'but those damn unelected judges are stopping the will of the people'.

This will be enable Trump to push a narrative of also reforming the Courts for the next election. And by Reforming he would mean, stacking them such that they have no autonomy or insolation from the Politics of the day and must just act in unison with whoever is in charge. A very dangerous path, indeed.

I will bet Barr's version will be redacted beyond being useful. He has made it clear that he intends to purge it of anything around people not charged. So nothing connected to Trump Jr, Kushner, and so many others will be purged and i am sure liberally so that no lines can be drawn back to those folks.

However it will all come out later after Congress wins in court. the question is when? And is Barr doing Trump a favour, if that ends up happening just before the next election? I almost think they should get it now and quickly and let the damage be done and then work on moving everyone past it before the next election. But maybe they think they can delay it beyond the next election??

Yeah, I'm worried about that as well. Everything we know points to him being a partisan hack.

I understand US politics better than you.

In reality, democrats in the house will get zero traction because republicans will simply point to the AG’s decision.

It’s that simple. It’s over, Trump won.

No you clearly do not and would never bet me you do.

that you think that the AG and not the Congress has last say in POTUS oversight proves you do not. It is Congress' defined job to provide oversight on the office of the POTUS.

Well, in a week I’ll be proven right.

Again.

Again you show a scary ignorance of the US system.

There is no challenge to the US Constitution going on right now that change the FACT that Congress has the oversight job over the POTUS. That you think in a week that will be changed is just ignorance on your part. You are wrong.
