The only Nolan movie that I think can even dare to stand up against M. Night's best is one you didn't even mention: The Prestige. LOL at Interstellar being any kind of threat to the next Spielberg!

Also, 5 movies no one cares about? I'm used to people taking shots at The Village but many people think Signs is the best film in his entire filmography.

Prestrige is really good too. But M Night has Sixth Sense and Unbreakable under his belt, thats it. LOL at next Spielberg.

I know you think of yourself as a film aficionado even though you like a lot of a shitty movies like the Village and what not, but M Night is hit and miss.

I actually will agree that he's hit and miss but his first four studio films are all excellent!

I think The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs and The Village all feel like a combination of the suspense of Hitchcock, the heart of Spielberg and his own unique story ideas. Hopefully he will give us more films that are on the level of what I call The Big 4. He's on the upswing with The Visit and Split, so I am hopeful.
 
I was swinging hardcore from Nolan's nuts after BB, TDK and Inception, but then TDKR happened and it was such a fucking travesty that I've totally jumped off the bandwagon almost altogether. Interstellar was ok, but Nolan just comes across as so fucking pretentious it's hard for me to get behind him anymore. I fucking hated Memento. Just an all around boring ass shit movie. I couldn't wait for it to get over and when it did I was ready to toss the BD right out the fucking window. Such a waste of 2 hours. My dream movie from Nolan is Inception 2. The first one was easily his best film. It's a masterpiece!

My interest in Dunkirk is about 2/10. I'll see it if it gets phenomenal reviews. If not, I'll skip. I do love though that Nolan tries to keep things more practical and doesn't overuse CGI.

M Night is great. He made 4 shit films in a row and it's easy to hate on him because of it, but he's definitely back now. Let's just hope he keeps it up. When he's on, he's on fire. I loved Six Sense, Signs (one of my all time favorites, a masterpiece), The Visit, and Split. Unbreakable was ok. Village, I only saw once and I didn't really care for it back then. I'll give it another shot one of these days. All in all though I couldn't be more excited for Glass. I will be there Day 1 to see it.
 
I expected good reviews but I didn't expect the metacritic score to be in the high 96.

Yeah, the reviews are off the charts! This looks like it will give Saving Private Ryan a run for its money as greatest WW2 movie.

any idea what the box-office numbers are expected to be? even if the critic reviews are great i'm not sure this is a movie the mass audiences will want to watch, could be wrong though

Predictions are in the 30-40 million range. Probably won't break out to be a huge hit but if it is as good as advertised I'm sure it will have good box office numbers.

I think Nolan's > Night. But Night is very good. Nolans best is > Night's best tho, and Nolan is far more consistent.

Signs is my favorite Night movie.
Prestige and Batman Begins are tied for my fave Nolan flicks.
