I'd say Nolan will win easily. I'm not really fan of Nolan anymore but you can't argue with his early run before he got into Batman

This reminds me there used to be a poster years back who'd constantly be posting 'Nolan vs x' threads. And it could be anyone or anything, like 'Nolan vs Hitchcock', 'Nolan vs Patterson Gimlin', 'Nolan vs A UFC Branded Hot Dog', 'Nolan vs Prime Larry Holmes'. I think that may be the main reason I grew tired of Nolan nuthugging and Nolan in general

M.Night is the worst director of the modern era.

I'm getting angry thinking about it.

Because he made a good twist ending movie in the Sixth Sense,
all his following movie had to have twist ending.

some felt forced,
some are nonsensical,
some created major plot holes.

on top of this,
most of his movies are slow paced and boring.

And with no re-watch value.

fck that guy.

I used to do polls on many directors and films back in the day like 2021-2022.

College and work just took time but now I post sometime again here as it’s a loving site really.

Still love films, Nolan but also many other stuff from different eras

Not a huge Nolan fan and Shyamalan is often a swing and a miss.

That being said I find myself enjoying the good M Night movies more.

Nolan. The only Shyamalan movie I enjoyed was Unbreakable.

i'm not even usual sherdog's Nolan dickrider, but Nolan by stomp round 1

The Prestige and Batman Begins were great stuff, i take these alone over whole Shyamalan career

Plus when we get his Odissey, unless he fuck up hard, will intant become top1/top2 Nolan movie by the fact alone of having fascinating premise of be set in mythical Ancient Greece

I'm not a Christopher Nolan fan, havent seen them all but I dont think I've liked any of the ones I seen, saw Batman Begins in the theater and walked out before it ended, that new Odyssey movie looks interesting, though

I've liked a lot of M. Night's movies, even the bad ones are enjoyable in a cheap B-movie schlockfest kind of way, which is something ole Pete is definitely a fan of

M. Night wins this easy

Nolan had a great run but he's been on a pretty big losing streak with Dunkirk, Tenet, and Oppenheimer.

At this point I probably won't bother watching the Odyssey. Whatever magic he had is clearly gone now.

Shamylan is pretty mid though. He never had a winning streak that even came close to Nolan's, and his worst movies are worse than Nolan's worst.

I like exactly 1 MNS film in Unbreakable. The rest range from tolerable to awful, weighted toward the latter.

I like maybe 6 Nolan films, with The Prestige being one of my favourite films this century. Even the ones I didn’t like are clearly well made.

Clear first round KO for Nolan.

Honestly don’t like the snobby pretentious nature of what I’m about to type, but if you think otherwise, you’re probably not that into film.

I haven't seen #s 3-6 on the Nolan list. The only MNS movie I didn't care for was The Village.

Dunkirk and Oppenheimer are two of his best films imo

By the way, I prefer Nolan but M Night is good and underrated by many.

'Nolan vs A UFC Branded Hot Dog'
Well that's just unfair. Should put him in with something he has a chance of winning. Maybe Spielberg or Hitchcock vs a UFC branded hotdog might be a bit closer.

nolan by giant margin.

sixth sense was great, unbreakable was good, signs was ok, but shama's career took a nosedive after that.
