It's a mystery. No one really knows how it started and how many people died in china. There is speculation, but no hard evidence. In a wetmarket and killed thousands is the best guess at this point. They need to pay for global dissemination of the vaccine when it comes out.

Lol at people here believing that governments need lockdowns because the healthcare system is oversaturated. Why in the fuck they did not build covid hospitals during the first time they locked everyone? They knew about this virus for a year now they should have prepared beds and everything. This...Why on Earth would anyone take any authoritarian nation's word on it is beyond me. We will never know how well it's been taken care of there, or if they just said "fuck it, let the chips fall as they may, now is a good time for our Dragon economy to gain ground while the rest of the world locks down". They'd be more than willing to sacrifice their own people to mantain and expand their power.
