Chili

If it's ground beef chili you might as well put beans in it

If you're really gonna use chunks of beef then no beans

I’ll probably have the wife make chili tomorrow, thanks TS!

We do a ground pork chili, no beans. I still like chili with beans, but all meat is the preference.

All meat goes better with chili dogs and chili cheese fries. Topped with onion of course. Sour cream on the chili fires. Chili nachos with nacho cheese jalapeños are great as well. Those were known as Chili Billies in my little league days. Delicious

When I make chili, I use pinto and black beans.

The only topping I use is shredded Mexican cheese blend.

I eat my chili just plain. In some parts of the country I noticed that they eat it over spaghetti or rice. How do you eat yours?
Over tater tots. But usually it’s rice out here. I just like tater tots occasionally.

I usually do put beans in my chili but I also like it without. Sometimes topped with cheese depending on what it’s going on.

Chili is good. I don't give a fuck whether there are beans in it or not. I only care that there are actually ample chillies in the chili. I want that shit so spicy it makes me cry.

Is there such thing as LOW SALT canned chili?

I was gonna buy one brand on sale at Costco, but was shocked when I saw the sodium content and put it back.

Trying to eat more beans after seeing health articles suggest eating more beans.

With. Last chili I did I used goat. I top with guac, fresh toms, cucumber and sour cream, I've started adding coffee and chocolate.

Since making it with goat I don't think I want to do it with beef anymore, it was awesome.

Here is my recipe without exact quantities in case I enter a contest and don't want y'all stealing my shit:

1 Can of Kidney Beans
Chili Powder (This determines heat level--I like a 6-7 level)
Garlic cloves
2lbs Ground beef or Turkey
16oz Diced tomatoes
1 Jar of Dessert Pepper Habanero Salsa
Worcestershire
1 Onion diced
Tomato Paste

I like my Chili thicker than some. I don't like soupy Chili. But for those that do add Beef Broth. I top with shredded cheese and have sliced Italian bread on the side to dip.

Apparently there is such thing as low sodium canned chili and Amazon sells it. Hormel makes it and it's not bad. Not super flavorful either, but the important thing is way less salt. Definitely buying again. I think the can is bigger than usual canned chili.

Either/or. Lots of different types and I won't hate on any of them. A dollop of sour cream and some tortilla strips is pretty universal for chili. Cheese variety depending on chili variety.

I do with pinto and black beans. I also use my immersion blender. I top with cheddar cheese and sour cream, sometimes chopped onion

Just had it tonight for dinner on duty. Had quesadillas instead of cornbread for dipping.

WITH beans.

With all these necro bumps guys seems to think they are popes of chili town

With or without beans?

and what do you top with. I go with the clsssic diced raw onions, sir creamm, and cheddar. Here’s to top with.

spice level 7

I go beans usually, on top it's sour cream, spring onions and parmesan, sometimes crumbled corn chips.

Spice level v hot of course.

Without, but i make it with beans once in awhile as well.
My adobo ribeye chili, no beans is awesome.
Looks similar to this. I'll take pics next time I make, soon.

Why season season ribeye with adobo?

Then, you toss tomato on it...

Enough beans so you know their in there but not enough to be that noticeable.

Beans are supposed to be full of nutrients, so don't let people shame you for beans in chili.

Is there such thing as soybean chili? Incompatible bean?
