A miniscule number of people on the right were ever going to see uncut footage from that event, or footage clipped by progressives.

Most of them were only ever going to see footage clipped by the right to prove he "wasn't afraid of anyone". There's a calculus to these things, and none of it proves towards "free exchange of ideas", which is completely antithetical to conservatives.

To conservatives, 99.9% of new ideas are definitionally bad, no matter how many lives they save or dramatically improve.

Are you saying the footage on his channel edited out the sections the left think he did poorly on? Or are you just saying conservatives wont watch the whole vid?

Do you think progressives would see the footage clipped by conservatives or that progressives would see the entire footage?

As a guy with an Indonesian mother I have experienced similar racist attacks/labels for simply holding an opinion contrary to certain leftist creeds. Granted, most of it occurred in college but it was truly insane and often comical.
