A miniscule number of people on the right were ever going to see uncut footage from that event, or footage clipped by progressives.

Most of them were only ever going to see footage clipped by the right to prove he "wasn't afraid of anyone". There's a calculus to these things, and none of it proves towards "free exchange of ideas", which is completely antithetical to conservatives.

To conservatives, 99.9% of new ideas are definitionally bad, no matter how many lives they save or dramatically improve.

Are you saying the footage on his channel edited out the sections the left think he did poorly on? Or are you just saying conservatives wont watch the whole vid?

Do you think progressives would see the footage clipped by conservatives or that progressives would see the entire footage?

None of them have ever actually watched the entire debate between Kirk and the Cambridge professor. You can tell because they point to it as the debate where Kirk "got his ass handed to him" yet none of them can ever point out exactly where that happened. It was a competitive, but healthy debate where him and the professor agreed to disagree on some issues they couldn't change eachothers' minds on and finished off with a handshake. Is that not how these things are supposed to go?

The left's frustration with Kirk regularly dismantling their biggest talking points using factual information just made them eager to see him lose, hence their massive celebrations when he was killed. It's pretty weak to point to a competitive, rational debate as someone getting their ass handed to them, especially because that's exactly what Kirk always advocated for. But again, Kirk pushing rational debate and the free exchange of ideas is exactly what the left hated him the most for.

They wear a mask. You have to remember, this is the section of society who thinks black people can't do anything for themselves and need white saviours to help them - they have a lowly opinion of black people, they are just good at hiding it.
