Charles Johnson was the underrated fighter of the year. 4-0 against very tough competition, and all wars.
He really impressed me too, Easy to look past a 33 year old flyweight not in the top 10 yet.

But I'm watching him very intently now. If he wins this fight, with the current state of flyweight, I'd like to see him moved ahead to a title eliminator.

They are hoeing Johnson with this fight… he should be fighting ranked opposition. They should have made him vs Erceg who’s coming off two losses and needs to fight down in the rankings

Big disrespect to johnson. The ufc obviously doesn't want him climbing the rankings. You'd think in a division starved for new contenders, they'd be willing to give a very deserving guy like johnson the chance to climb the rankings.

Fun fight all the same, though.

Mick Maynard does a very shitty job of handling the Flyweight division.
The UFC needs to give that responsibility to Sean Shelby instead.
Charles Johnson needs to be closer to a title shot, not further away.
This is horrible matchmaking.

Depends on if Temirov fights the point style or not. Johnson is hard to beat in a brawl

Kinda disrespectful to give InnerG an unranked opponent after the year he had in 2024. Meanwhile, Joshua Van (who Charles finished) is getting a fight higher up the rankings.

Th the level of disrespect in Booking this matchup is ridiculous. Johnson deserves a top 10 opponent at the very least after the year he has had.

And considering that Pantoja is running out of options. It would not have been out of line for Johnson to get a shot at somebody in the top five.

Whoever is the matchmaker for 125 is doing a terrible job.

Temirov is on a 5 first round KO streak so I doubt he'll change his approach for this one.
Wasnt this the guy with comparisons to Wanderlei Silva? Almost feels like Johnson fight unless trigger happy ref stops it early. Johnson seems very durable and the way he turned off Van in long fight was impressive

I’ve always been a fan of Charles, this matchup is some bullshit. With that being said, his opponent is a monster and I can see him struggling with the power.
