Could Conor McGregor end Chael's career?

Chaels youtube channel would die if he suddenly stop talking about Conor.

Sonnen to McGregor "There are five voices who matter..... if they band together and do not speak about you, your time in the sport is done."

Chael has lost it, sticking up for his fat drunk buddy. McGregor could destroy Chael's career, not the other way around.

Most the casuals who tune in to watch McGregor and pay for the PPVs etc don’t even know who Chael Sonnen is

Conor could buy and sell ten times over and thats why he will forever be the most beloved and discussed fighter in the whole universe.

So you've never heard of contracts? That really sounds like a "you" problem.

Unless you actually have Conor's contract and an attorney to interpret the terms and conditions, it's all bs.

Kind of a hyperbolic interpretation of Chael's words. On top of not being into all this cancel craze, he's been friends with DC longer than Conor's been in MMA. Add to it, Chael knows how this business works and he never said it's right or wrong, there are just some realities of the business that are undeniable that Conor might be overlooking.

I don't have any respect for those ESPN gobshites and it's a sad state of affairs that they have any pull in fight business, and I would probably be on Conor's side if he want up against them, but him trying to cancel DC was shitty. And he'd deserve anything he'd get if he kept on that path.

He’s just jealous of porier and Cormier getting all the trash talk from McGregor and needs some himself

Let's be real, McGregor has probably brought in close to 1 billion dollars in revenue with all his PPVs. He threatens to walk to another organization, and UFC will cave to firing anyone.
Ok. What is Conor worth now to the UFC? He will never be as good or as high up the ladder as he once was.

Lol no Chael is a steroid cheat can with 20 losses and never touched a belt. Conor would torch him in trash talk.
Lol you're discrediting Chael's trash talk based on the Wikipedia entry you read for his record?

Unless you actually have Conor's contract and an attorney to interpret the terms and conditions, it's all bs.
So if I'm not a lawyer with Conor's contract in my hands, Conor can do whatever he wants?

Pretty sure the UFC has Conor's contract and I'm pretty sure they have lawyers. Or did you think I was personally going to be involved in this?

<36>

If you think there is any way, any chance for Conor to simply walk away, you are extremely stupid. When has that ever happened? Why would they let a very profitable fighter just walk away? Why wouldn't they tie him up in lawsuits for a couple decades, until he's too old and drugged out to even put his gloves on?

But you know what? It doesn't matter what I say, or what you think. What will happen will happen. And when Conor can't walk away and fight elsewhere because of his contracts, I hope you'll think of this post and feel like the idiot you are

Lmfao and what exactly could journeyman Canor do to end Chael's career? Call his buddies at ESPN to fire him? This man lied to the CSAC'S face, fought Wanderlei, Jones, and Fedor and yet manages to land a cozy ass job at ESPN. That dude is like a roach.

In general - and obviously absolutely hypothetical - if someone worth hundreds of millions wanted to seriously damage the career of someone worth “only” a few million, they likely could.

They would have to spend big, get PIs to dig up serious dirt on the guy and/or his businesses, leak stuff to compliant press people, build up a constant media barrage from various paid off sources, create endless lawsuits draining the person’s resources in fighting them, even go so far as to fabricate very damaging accusations from unconnected hired third parties.

Clearly something very different from the silly Conor Twitter threats, but in general hypothetical terms yes, someone with Conor’s money could create big career issues to almost anyone if for some reason they were so mad they decided to engage professionals and invest heavily into it.

Returning to reality, I’m quite sure Conor won’t spend millions trying to destroy Chael’s career, so the latter can sleep fine and happily demolish the Irishman in further Twitter exchanges.

Chael? That dude's not been relevant for years. What a dope.

Chael isn't entirely wrong. If those 5 voices stopped covering Conor or told their audiences that he was a fighter in severe decline pointing to his losses, then within a few weeks that would start to be his reputation even among casuals.

Bro, Conor legit made 300 million in just one year and was the richest athlete on planet earth. How much does everyone want to bet we never see an MMA fighter become the richest athlete in the world again in our lifetime?? Say what you want about his antics and the Barry Lyndon-esque arc of his life, but Conor made it to the peak and no MMA fighter will ever get that high again. He made it, game over.

I will say it is funny to see everyone lash out at Conor then get triggered when he responds. Only the scourge of severe CDS can make people blind to such hypocrisy.
Khabib in response to Conor suffering a catastrophic and freak injury: "Good defeats evil"
Conor in response: "Just a question here with your logic, Khabib: was COVID good and your Dad evil then?'

But if Chael doesn't talk about Conor, people will go elsewhere to find people talking about Conor. So therefore that's eyes on the bad guy.
