I hate Conor but this is just silly. McGregor is bigger than the sport and he's bigger than MMA media. Conor doesn't need Anik/Florian, Chael, Schaub or any other MMA talking head to sell PPVs for him. Chael is wrong a lot, but he doesn't often go full retard - he's gone full retard here.

If MMA was a respectable sport, Conor would be blackballed. Imagine if an NFL player sucker punched an old man at a bar, threw a dolly into an opposing team's bus and injured opposing players, lost a game and threatened to have an opposing player's wife and kids killed, assaulted a referee, was accused of sexual assault multiple times, etc. What fucking team would take a guy like that? But in MMA it's fine because the general public just looks at it as human cockfighting anyhow.

I find chael's absurdity entertaining, in that respect I love his channel. You truly have no clue what weird ass take he's going to have on any given topic, aside from the take being lined up with the promotion and dana.

That being said, it doesn't really matter anyways. Conors popularity will near its end soon. Nobody wants to pay to watch a constant loser for long, no matter how edgy he is.

Let's be real, McGregor has probably brought in close to 1 billion dollars in revenue with all his PPVs. He threatens to walk to another organization, and UFC will cave to firing anyone.

I doubt that they would fire DC, but I could easily see them taking him off of the commentary team for any future fight that Conor has.

Chael is a bit delusional.

What would actually happen is other youtubers who do talk about Conor would start getting more attention and Chael would lose market share.

Conor has been a household name for years. Most of his fans are casuals who would never watch anything MMA-related on YouTube besides those KO compilation videos.

Lmao Conor IS MMA. Chael, DC or anyone couldn’t ruin Conors career, he’s already one of the biggest stars in sports and basically is the UFC. Them not talking about him wouldn’t affect Conor at all lol.

Not many know who DC and Chael are but EVERYONE knows who Conor is. Conor could end DC and Chaels career if he wanted to.

Yeah you're right. Chael could be referring to some snowball effect, but the talk about Conor for the most part goes directly from UFC promos to fans who then talk about Conor.

Conor is not going to fight in long time (maybe never more), economically he doesn't need the fame and popularity but he needs it to fill his big ego, time is terrible and fans tend to forget very fast, Chael is not right 100% but he is pretty close, Conor needs to be mentioned.

The UFC owns Mcgregor's life until he finishes his last 3 fights on his contract, he's also on a downwards spiral in every facet of his life, if you really think the corporate heads will bend over for Mcgregor, you're very wrong, they wouldn't even do it at his peak when he was begging for a slice of the company.
Conor could fight until he’s 45 and still bring in a million PPV buys. Trust me they would bend over for Conor.

Conor never got a share because they told him he could buy in and they bumped his pay

Was hoping to see Conor on Food Truck Diaries with Schaub too…….said no one ever

I was expecting Chael to name high level execs, but he says shit like Brendan Schaub and Joe Rogan.

The people that sign Schaub and Rogans paychecks are the ones who would end McGregor, but they'll keep him around as long as he brings in the cash. That is all that matters at the end of the day.

It's hilarious how little people understand about how these industries operate.
Rogan can probably get Dana to cut at least 1 fighter of his choice for all he's done for the UFC
