It's worth pointing out that he genuinely does not seem to mind facing bigger opponents. Do you think Cowboy would have been able to make featherweight? How about Nate Diaz? Easy road would have been able to take a warmup fight at lightweight.

This is the easy road. They should have made him face Gaethje before gifting him the rematch with Khabib...which will be his next fight IF he beats Cowboy.

If we believe that Conor is close to 160 rn then yes 15lbs would be pretty acurate. However if he's actually 170lbs or over then they are around the same weight.

I doubt Cowboy enters the cage at 185. In terms of McGregor being brave, he should have picked a top LW or WW rather than Cerrone who has 2 recent TKO losses at 155 (Ferguson & Gaethje) and is 4 - 6 in his last 10 fights. Cerrone is a solid fighter, but he has a lot of miles on the odometer and well past his prime. Brave would have been Gaethje, Barboza or Felder at 155. Alternately, Woodley, Edwards or RDA at 170.

_ His body can't take shots anymore.
_ He said he is not using his BJJ (Conor biggest issue).
_ He is tailor made for Conor (pressure striker, good counters, fast in the beggining).
_ Fight is at WW because he is a low starter and Conor won't gas early.
