A fight against Holland and then a top 10 undefeated fighter in Garry are two solid fights that got him a lot of attention. and their both strikers. Matchups against wrestlers would have been fights he wouldn't want.

I think you're approaching the matchmaking with your own biases rather than viewing it as UFC would. They aren't going to give old ass MVP a fight he doesn't deserve like that, anyone who beats Leon next is fighting for a title.

Regardless of how you view Leon's fighting style or lack of charisma etc, he's a clean cut British fighter who for the sake of that market alone they aren't going to put him miles and miles away from another title fight.
