Brutal picture choice, Drago.

I'm convinced Trump is a Sherdogger and a big Heavies poster![]()
I didn't catch that quote from Trump, link?
I am still predicting Emily Blunt as Captain Marvel.
From what I've read so far, Blunt seems to be the rumored leading candidate for Captain Marvel. I love Blunt and she would be great in the role but I still prefer Yvonne Strahovski for the part. YS was born to play Carol Danvers.

What is YS up to nowadays? I haven't heard anything about her.

Ronda Rousey Reveals She Wants to Play MS. MARVEL
![]()
The world already knew that Ultimate Fighting Champion Ronda Rousey was a Super Saiyan from Dragon Ball Z, but what if she was also one of the Marvel Universe
Yvonne is in a new series The Astronaut Wives Club. Odette Annable is also in there as well as several cuties.
Since the show is on ABC (which is owned by Disney), it would give Yvonne a better chance of getting the Captain Marvel role.

I agree about Yvonne Strahovski looking the part and doing comedy and action is very much what Captain Marvel is all about apparently. The problem is Yvonne does not have a great deal of name recognition. If Captain Marvel was heading to TV she would be in the running.
Interesting. Thanks, DL.
I've been regularly watching it. The show is not really that great (it's not horrible either).
It didn't look good from the trailer.
On a side note, when do you think Adam Warlock/Nova will appear (if they do) and who do you think would be good fits for each?

Dragonlord's Fantasy Casting Vol. 3: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy seems to be heating up as casting news have been proliferating for the past few days. Now seems to be a perfect time to make my "Superhero Fantasy Casting" for said film. The movie will be based on the 2008 modern version of the team and not the 1969 group from an alternate timeline. To give you a brief history, the modern team was first composed of Kree prisoners and assembled to go on a suicide mission against the Phalanx invaders. After the war, Star-Lord decided to form an interstellar police to protect the galaxy.
MATT BOMER as STAR-LORD
![]()
To those that know me, you know I've been pimping Matt Bomer (White Collar) for years now for a variety of superhero roles. I think he would be great as Peter Quill, a.k.a. Star-Lord. Aside from being dashingly handsome, Bomer has that swashbuckling aura perfect to lead a group of space adventurers. Watch the first episode of his fun caper series White Collar and you'll be on board the Bomer train.
OLIVIA WILDE as GAMORA
![]()
There were so many good choice of actresses for Gamora. Lynn Collins was my number one choice as she was fabulous in John Carter. She had a killer bod and did great with the sword-fighting sequences. But she's 35 years-old, not my ideal age for Gamora. Evangeline Lilly was another candidate but prefer my Gamora to be a bit exotic-looking. In the end I settled with lovely Olivia Wilde who meets all my criteria to play the "The Most Dangerous Woman in the Universe."
2nd Choice: Olga Kurylenko (Centurion, Quantum of Solace, Hitman)
RAY WINSTONE as ROCKET RAC00N
![]()
Rocket Rac00n is an intelligent, anthropomorphic racc00n, who is an expert marksman and master tactician. He appeared in an episode of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes with a Cockney accent. The accent kinda got stuck on me. I believe Simon Pegg has the comedic timing and delivery to portray the character as well as pulling off the accent. [Update: As good as Pegg is, Ray Winstone is the perfect British actor to voice Rocket.]
KARL URBAN as DRAX THE DESTROYER
![]()
My first choice was Vin Diesel because let's face it, the new Drax is modeled after the actor's iconic role as Riddick. But with Diesel's 3rd installment of Riddick hitting theaters this year, casting him in a similar role would be inappropriate. There were many great candidates to choose from but in the end I went with Karl Urban. The New Zealand actor was last seen in the fantastic R-rated actioner Dredd where he played the stoic titular character perfectly.
2nd Choice: Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Conan the Barbarian, Bullet to the Head)
Okay, the below characters probably won't appear in the first movie but since one of them is a staple character of the team in the comics while the other is closely associated with the team and very popular among the fans, I have decided to include them. Besides, the only character left in the official concept art is Groot, and any voice actor can do his monotonous dialogue.
SCOTT PORTER as NOVA
![]()
Nova is a member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps. His superpowers including enhanced strength, flight, and injury resistance. I wouldn't have considered Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) for the Nova role but he won me over when he enthusiastically revealed he wanted the part as well as being longtime comic book fan.
IAN SOMERHALDER as ADAM WARLOCK
![]()
The artificial being known as Adam Warlock is best known to modern readers as the hero who saves the universe from Thanos on multiple occasions. Warlock is often depicted as a wise and zen-like pacifist. Paul Bettany would have been great but I wanted someone less obvious and younger. Luke Evans fits the bill. If you've seen him in Immortals, then you know he has wise-beyond-his-years presence about him. Evans will next be seen as the villain in Fast and Furious 6 and as Bard the Bowman in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. [Update: I've taken out Luke since I cast him in a more deserving lead role as Doctor Strange. The smoldering Ian Somerhalder from The Vampire Diaries is a great replacement.]
I think Adam Warlock has a much better chance of appearing first than Nova in GotG 2 or the Infinity War films.
As for my casting, here's my Vol. 3 Fantasy Casting for the two roles below. This was made in 2013, I would choose Matthew Goode, Tom Mison, or Harry Lloyd for Warlock if I were to update it.
If Marvel had to choose between the two, I'm sure they would go for Blunt due to her star power and marketability. But I'm just hoping YS would still prevail somehow.
Earlier this year, it looked like Tron 3 was getting ready to be greenlit with director Joseph Kosenski, Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde on board. But in May, Disney decided it won't go through with it.Olivia Wilde... that reminds me, I really wanna see a follow up to Tron Legacy.

I'm rooting for Yvonne, too.
1. I think she looks the part more, and 2. She could use a major vehicle like this.
That being said, if Emily (mine) were to get a high profile Marvel role, there is a good chance that her fame and success would cripple Kraskinski's self confidence, leading him on a destructive course of drugs and adultery that would ultimately pave the path of our bliss.
