Rumor: Charlize Theron & Angelina Jolie for CAPTAIN MARVEL?

Charlize Theron has formed a close friendship with Angelina Jolie. The Mad Max: Fury Road actress, who is rumoured to be engaged to Sean Penn, has reportedly forged a friendship with her fellow Oscar winner after being introduced by the Maleficent star's husband Brad Pitt.

Like Angelina, South African-born Charlize, who has adopted three-year-old son Jackson, is involved in a lot of charity work and deeply respects the 39-year-old actress for raising six children.

The insider told US OK! magazine: "The guys have been tight for years and ever since Sean and Charlize became serious they've been spending a lot of time together as a foursome. The girls realized that they have a very similar outlook on life and quickly bonded over everything from their adopted children to their prospective Hollywood projects."

The duo are even hoping to work together on Captain Marvel, the comic giant's upcoming first female-led superhero film. The source said: "Marvel has been courting Angie to direct the project and Charlize is a clear fan favorite for the starring role. If Charlize were to get the part, Angie would almost certainly sign on to work with her new pal."

Angelina Jolie shown her directing chops in Unbroken I would rather have someone with a comical background. I have a few names that are not common names for actresses to play Carol Iliza Shlesinger,Whitney Cummings and oddballs Ireland Baldwin, gigi hadid or Taylor Swift? Yep Taylor Swift she has done comedy and she is a huge name and young. I have not seen Mad but I saw A Million Ways To Die in the West! She is not a comedic actress. I want someone who is the female equivalent of guardian of the galaxy Chris Pratt? Reminds me of another for Carol Karen Gillian. I want someone who brings lighthearted humor with serious action parts.

Edit: She is too freaking old she will be 43 by the time the first film comes out? She will be nearly 50 by CM 2 bad idea.

If you had asked me before Fury Road came out I would've said she had no chance, based on her age.

But the success of Fury Road might just have given her the necessary push to overcome that obstacle.

I agree with you on the age thing, though. Also, agreed about her comedic prowess. She has too much gravitas for lighthearted anything, unless she plays the straight woman. I can't think of a single statuesque actress who has both the look and the personality.

Always looking for that next level, Rousey has revealed that she would love to play the Marvel Comics character Miss Marvel in a movie. The world already knew that Ultimate Fighting Champion Ronda Rousey was a Super Saiyan from Dragon Ball Z, but what if she was also one of the Marvel Universe’s mightiest superheroes?

I really hope not, but honestly if she had the acting chops to lead then I'd say she'd be a shoe-in for the role

Coincidentally, my last project before I may or may not lie low for a while from Sherdog is Thor 3 and 4. Originally, it was supposed to be just Thor: Ragnarok but after the mess The Dark World made, I decided to make Ragnarok the fourth movie and make a third movie to fix what The Dark World made.

That was a first pick a while back, mostly because I couldn't figure out how to fit in Thor's granddaughters since the eldest even wears Ronda's fight gear. Then as I was putting together that last post the idea struck me like a bolt of lightning.

The idea that struck me...

Movie starts on a silent barren landscape, camera is near to the ground the low whistling of the wind is all we hear. Text appears at the bottom of the screen: Midgard 3025 (or some other future time). Suddenly armored boots walk across the frame as we pull back we see the Girls of Thunder are trekking across the countryside.
Landscape looks as such but sans Galactus and King Thor since he'll pop up in a sec.

As they walk we see farming equipment that Thor has put together over the years as he tills the soil trying to bring Earth back.
Youngest: Are we sure grandpa is here?
Middle: Mother saw him heading to the Bifrost with the book again. Just wants to make sure he's ok.
Eldest: There he is.

We see King Thor sitting atop a rocky outcropping with Mjolnir at his feet as he reads through a large ancient book, the lock and chains that kept the book sealed rests on top of Mjolnir.

The girls approach Thor and make small talk as he reads on. One of them asks what he is reading.

Thor: Looking to see if there was something I missed, something I could have done to change this.
Eldest: I don't think anyone could have stopped this from happening to Midgard.
Thor: Not the event but if I could have stopped it at the source then they could have been saved. There must have been something...*he looks up from the book* Maybe you will see what I could not.

We pull in over Thor's shoulder as he goes back to the cover: RAGNAROK, big music swell as the words rise up from the cover.

Smash cut to Thor picking up from Age of Ultron. They started Thor 2 with a look far in the past so I thought starting Thor 3 with a look far into the future would work.

Maybe for a post credits scene we get King Thor closing the book but before he can say anything we get the return of the being that destroyed Earth. Could be Kang, Beyonder, fuck if I know but this person would be the next big Avengers villain. The main story of Ragnarok would be the final set up to Infinity War and this scene would allow people to figure out who this next villain is for his arrival in present day during the post credit for Infinity War. Hopefully this will lead to less: Who is [Thanos, Apocalypse, etc] that happens in the theater at the end of each movie. Grant it they even named that next movie Apocalyse and no one knew who he was due to being a blue kid.
