I, too am shocked. Any way you slice it I am vehemently opposed to this tax, but being charitable I could even call it a "success" if any investments in "green" technology were advanced as a result but this is an objective failure in that it didn't even accomplish their own stupid goals.
Trudeaus (and carneys) goals are usually centered around enriching their friends or themselves.

"Sir at some point your going to have to move past the honking and singing". -ares therapist, probably.
Oh I've moved on. It's you dipshits who keep bringing it up because you think it bothers me.

It does not. The end of that occupation was so amazing that it actually warms my heart to see you guys still salty about it.

Hahaha. You must be so sick of people who know so.little about the Canadian political system.
It's a little frustrating at times, true. There are a lot of people with strong opinions who don't actually know anything.
Thanks for teaching us. You surely don't look like an idiot loud mouth who knows shit about the subject!
What would you like to know?

It was incredibly popular and had more support, both financial and through participation, than almost any other protest.
It was very popular with ignorant dipshits and western separatists. It was very unpopular with the rest of Canada.

And with actual truckers. Or anyone with a real job.

You fell for a grift.

I don't know much about the goals of the tax, but I've seen plenty of youtube vids complaining about it.

My personal opinion has always been that you don't tax pollution or cap and trade it; you outlaw it if the goal is really to eliminate it.

You have it backwards. It was deeply unpopular with a fringe minority of people but the overwhelming consensus was positive.

Not in the real world

Notorious left-wing rag The National Post, amirite??

Clearly they didn't have terribly important jobs if they could take a month long vacation.

I don't think you understand how many of the "protesters" were literally just homeless people and drug addicts from across Canada looking for a free lunch and a sense of community.

All the real truckers were at work. The amateurs came to Ottawa for the political stunt.

Who's to say everybody was there for a month long. People traveled there for days at a time.

I've seen enough real time videos from friends on the ground to know your just a little bitch who felt left out.

I'm gonna put @fedoriswar37 back on the old ignore list
That guy is obsessed with me.

Please stop sending me messages bro, you aren't my type.

Aaaaaaaaaand Ignored

Byeeeee.

See you April 29, dipshit

For the official record, to no one in particular

For the first weekend of the occupation I had no problem at all with the so-called Freedom Convoy. There were tens of thousands of generally good Canadians who really thought they were standing up to an authoritarian government.

And I support that wholeheartedly. Yes, it was noisy and smelly and destructive and stupid, but that first weekend was undeniably a legitimate protest and it was unbelievably successful.

If they had gone home after the protest like civilized people, it would have been an unqualified success and no one in Centretown would have been angry with them. We get demonstrations and protests all the time.
And the vast majority of folks did go home.

But as soon as Monday started they were no longer protesting l, they were occupying a residential neighbourhood. And the ones who stayed were absolute garbage people. And the next ten days were a nightmare for thousands of innocent people.

By the time a court order forced them to SHUT THE FUCK UP, it was far too late for civil discussion. These people had proven conclusively that they didn't actually give a shit about their fellow Canadians, and they got exactly what was coming to them.

Now, since this is not a thread about the occupation of Centretown in 2022, I will leave it at that.

I am 45 years old and I have been following politics closely for 20 years.

In every way. Harper was a piece of shit who was selling out Canada at every opportunity.

Lolololol is this a serious question??

My living situation is great. I own my own place and have no worries about it. Thanks for your concern.

You really need to break out of your bubble. Your understanding of Canadian history is like a fun house mirror.

ive never met a 45 year old who talks like this
but that first weekend was undeniably a legitimate protest and it was unbelievably successful.
so why then are you calling everyone who supports it a fool who was grifted if you think it was a legitimate protest ?
