Elections Canadian Federal Election 2019 Thread

I’m throwing a party election night watching that pos get the boot put to his ass. Tic tock Trudeau

What makes you so certain Trudeau loses? Doug Ford might actually cost the Conservatives the elections, this is why he went on a "vacation."

I wonder if Trudeaus SNC lavalin corruption results will affect the results of the vote. The left are such ideologues they are willing to vote the idiot in again despite corruption and incompetence.

So I’m sitting in my sunroom yesterday am and this lady pops up at the door and says hello. I got to the door and I see right away she has on liberal party ID and shirt. She says “hi I’m here on behalf of Dan Vandel and the liberal party and I hope we can count on your support “ . She had a look on her face like she knew what I was going to say before I said it. I said politely “ I’m sorry no I’m voting PC “ .

She was very polite and just smiled. I was quite surprised that she didn’t even ask what my issues were or why I was supporting pc, most if not all door to door knockers will try and engage some dialog.

They really should be asking what your issues are. With me, it's the man at the helm now, simple as that. They change leadership, I'll likely vote for them again. Polarizing leaders, even within a party's voter bloc, seem to be all the rage now though.

I really need to change this avatar...

I’m a party voter and I don’t believe the rule of the leader should push the party forward.

Out of curiousity, what would you have said if she had?

I think it'll probably keep a lot of people who were leaning Liberal home, but not the ones already in camp. People know that the prize for voting out Trudeau is whatever heinous things this Conservative government has planned. Isn't politics wonderful?

Conservatives only need about 40% of the vote for a majority, depending on where those votes are cast, so I never count them out, especially with the NDP siphoning some of the Liberals base every time.

Deficit spending, carbon tax, immigration issues at the forefront. There are others among my absolute disgust with Trudeau’s virtue signal identity politics.

I really don't like the liberals and have no confidence in their leadership, but the one thing they have right, IMO, is the carbon tax. It's actually kind of strange to see the Conservatives, who never missed an opportunity to browbeat about economics, argue against it.

Same. Ontario Cons are spending more than the Liberals they replaced in Ontario at the same time cutting tons of services.

NDP for me.
