I came to post the same thread. Okami has such an incredible resume. I'm always surprised to see him win in the last 10 years - I thought his chin was completely shot for at least that amount of time.



Also interesting: the belt in question has been vacant for over 12 years!

Looked him up to see what happened to him and I didn't even know he fought in PRIDE. WTF?

Would have been cool to see him fight Bustamante, Hendo, Misaki, Anderson, Filho, Mousasi, etc. Wonder why PRIDE didn't keep him. He was a really handsome looking dude back in those days (no homo).

Yushin okami is a legend.

That said, I did not lnow he was still fighting. What a champ, thats crazy.

His fight with Evan Tanner was the first big example in my fanship of a fight I was excited for but didn't want either one to have to lose.
