In 2 years, Bellator might be at Strikeforce's level. Which means Zuffa will be looking to purchase them.

UFC isn't going to let another MMA org get big without trying to purchase them or eliminate them some other way. It's very clear that Dana White hates competition more than anything. I don't know about Lorenzo though. He should be used to competition with being in the casino business so long.

Why do people keep saying Bars... Bars pay a premium for the event and the UFC even has a list of bars showing the event on their website. As far as streamers every media company goes after piraters, If Bellator is making the move to PPV they will be targeting piraters just the same. Maybe your dad is in a bad MMA area or just a place with not enough people to justify a bar paying the cost of the PPV otherwise UFC.com has a list.

In that case would be better if they didn't have people talk for what seemed like hours between fights during the ppv. Also forget about Rampage-King Mo 2. They might have to pay people to watch that one.

I called 10 random bars in my area during UFC 170 and all of them were showing it. What area do you live in... are you in a rural town or something?

Could happen. Dana needs to get off the nuts of streamers, pirates, and bars showing events. Less options to view the UFC, the less fans there will be. My dad used to go to bars to watch all the time, now he cant find any that show the events so has ultimately stopped watching altogether.

So if they get off the nuts of pirates, it could happen? They have a lot of ground to cover in two years.

UFC: Has 12-13 PPVs a year, network shows, big arenas, has multiple reality shows airing in different places of the world in different languages and over the past year will have run shows in USA, Canada, China, Finland, Japan, Abu Dhabi, England, Germany, Singapore, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Mexico, and Turkey.

Bellator: Will run 1-2 PPVs this year, they have shows that air on spike from smaller arenas and Native reservations in America and Canada. They did try other programming last year with a season of Fightmaster but seem to have stopped.

Although a distinct no. 2 worldwide, they are closer to Titan or WSOF than they are the UFC.

That's exactly what they said to me in 2005 when i told them about UFC overtaking PRIDE, but i wasn't wrong then was I? You watch as the UFC gets crumpled and absorbed by the Bellator behemoth in three years time.

Actually, the UFC never over took PRIDE.

PRIDE was #1, and the UFC was a distant #2. In 2005, they became competitors. Before that, they were never competitors, as PRIDE was always the clear #1 promotion. In 2005+, you had some saying the UFC was #1, but most still thought PRIDE was the best.

Most people don't even consider Bellator a competitor to the UFC. Dana White definitely doesn't.

The UFC used to be where Bellator is right now. They took over as the clear #1 promotion because Zuffa bought PRIDE just so they could shut it down.

You can't even get in to places here unless you go 30 minutes before Prelims start. Once prelims have started every seat is taken for the next 4 hours.

I don't think it's going to happen. Zuffa is expanding globally, while Bellator is struggling to fill seats in small casinos on reservations. Viacom is not going to keep pumping out that Rampage money if it doesn't get a return on its investment.
