I only heard of 3 guys on that list.

Strike force was literally about 3x better than Bellator and it got bought out.

Bellator doesn't have anywhere close to 1% of a chance to do that.

It's too bad, Strikeforce was legitimately competition for the UFC, at least when it came to big names. If only bellator had the same stable of fighters.

LOL that's your problem dude. Pretty sure the board of directors at UFC didn't sit around and think, but does realisum know any of these guys? Then what's the point of signing them?! There's not one name there I don't recognize. Remember, prospects haven't become huge in the sport, it actually takes a good eye to recognize talent. The UFC is taking in all the best talent they can find, they do a great job at that much.

I love the UFC for the caliber of fighters, but Bellator is more profeesional, sophisticated and has a better and more logical format. Dana White inserts his presence too much. Having a such a grating personality as the face of an organization such as the UFC is detrimental.

Then you probably barely watch any MMA and that's your own fault. If you only know 3-guys that's pretty sad. My friend just comes over and watches for big cards or Brazilian heavy cards, (he's from Brazil) and he would know way more than 3-names.

Yeah it is. Strikeforce actually had a legitimate chance, TBH if it would have went for a Spike TV deal or something like Bellator I think it would have done better.

One of the main demo for MMA is teenagers, and lucky enough I had Showtime, but none of my friends did or wanted to pay for the channel just to watch some MMA fights every 2 months or so.

Having Strikeforce on a premium channel when a lot of the main demo is college aged guys was a poor idea IMO. Or at least, not as successful as the alternative would be.

Their roster of fighters was great. It blew Bellator out of the water.

no, i don't agree. the only thing i agree is bjork needs to go and viacom should replace his lame ass.

Fans who watch other orgs, not just UFC and like to see up an coming talent know who they are.

Actually which 3 cause even someone who just casually follows the UFC should know more than that.

If you dont know Thatch, Nelson, Pettis, Kelvin, Holdsworth, Scoggins, do you even follow the sport?

Two years time Bellator will be battling for third.

Bwahahaha that's hilariously adorable that you think that. Their interim belt situation alone makes them bush league at best.

I was going to say the same. Really sad how badly some people want to love anything not labeled with the letters UFC.

Bellator had a long-term business model that could have brought them to a serious competitive level eventually, but Viacom got involved and they started signing ex-UFC guys they didn't need to. Ben Saunders and his ilk were solid additions and competitive, Tito/Rampage and now Colossus and Sokoudjou... not so much

Edit: let's not forget Baroni. I love the guy obviously, but he belongs outside of any league really looking for the best competitive fighters

Bellator can't even fill a 2000 seat casino event center without giving away 4 free tickets for every one purchased and you claim in two years they'll surpass Zuffa? They've done 4 for 1s their past THREE trips to WinStar casino in Oklahoma and still haven't been able to fill the house to capacity. Bjorn Rebney couldn't pack a church on Sunday.

Umm...ok, kid. Whatever you say lol.
