Can Strickland cause Izzy problems with his aggression+volume?

Damn this sloth power
Still accurate. He landed clean and landed 15 + shots while Izzy stood back up and fought four more rounds.
Izzy had little damage on his face, don't act like he looked like Rory MacDonald after taking the power of Robbie Lawler.

0 power.
0

Why not -1? Maybe Sean's punches give you more strength

I take it all back.

Strickland is the most technically-gifted and devastating stand up fighter the UFC has ever seen.
The reflexes of A. Silva, the power of Ubereem.
The real deal, the complete package.

Probably the GOAT, in all honesty.

When Adesanya is in his safe game, he usually relies on the fact that he can damage an opponent with leg/high kicks, and duck any offence/counter.
Strickland might be the most aggressive, coming-forward opponent of his since Romero. Unlike Romero though, he has a veyr high volume of jabs and combos, and he also might mix it with takedowns (rarely but happens).

I'm not sure that Adesanya can dodge it all. Strickland has an ability to outwork opponents, even if judges don't always see it (like in Cannonier fight)
Maybe Adesanya should aim for the finish, as Stricklands chin is far from being iron...

Respect. I did say i was rooting for Sean but didnt give him much of a chance skillwise. Your analysis was spot on brother hahaha im so damn happy for Sean, easealy one on my fav. moments in mma

Hilarious. Not being KOd = pillow fists.
And comparing facial lacerations of two different fighters as a measure of power.

Seriously, you watch MMA for so long and do not have a fucking clue

Oh the good old reductio ad absurdum.
What is your next attempt to avoid eating the crow?

Dude I literally barely care about Strickland or Izzy lol.
I just like rippin' on dudes.

Trawling through old posts to reply with your "haha you were wrong!" is low-key odd as fuck though, lad.

Haha.

It was a big upset and a huge surprise. Most people got it wrong.
It's the people that gave Strickland absolutely no chance at all that needs flaming. It's MMA where anything can happen. I made my thread for a reason before the fight, you would think people would've learn by now considering all the crazy upsets in years past.

Nah, low-key is suddenly pretending you do not care, after the truth has been shoven into your stupid face.
What I'm doing is just enjoying the high horse moment.

Conclusion: I was right, and you were wrong. I'm still right, and you're still wrong.
Deal with it

To be fair, many of us did not expect such a performance from Strickland was possible. I was rooting for him but I really didn’t predict him to be able to beat Adesanya like that and the majority in this thread besides OP did not either.

I’m very happy for Sean, not only as an Adesanya hater but a Strickland fan. I’ll eat some crow but don’t pretend it wasn’t a surprising, underdog victory most did not see coming.

True, I see why most thought that and it's reasonable. On the flip side with how remarkable Sean is at defense (Poaton was the outlier), I thought Sean could give Izzy fits in there. Well, he even surprised me by not even getting busted up a little, pretty remarkable.

You "won the internet" kid.

Mommy will be proud!

I already said I barely care, and your response is "nah dude you DO care".
No lol, I literally don't.

You need to lighten up fella.
It is what is is.

Thinking about it... Alex really is the outlier... think of the cannonier fight... Sean maybe got touched like 6 times to the face... Uriah Hall couldn't hit him... dude is like a diaz brother that doesn't get hit...
