Can Strickland cause Izzy problems with his aggression+volume?

Thinking about it... Alex really is the outlier... think of the cannonier fight... Sean maybe got touched like 6 times to the face... Uriah Hall couldn't hit him... dude is like a diaz brother that doesn't get hit...
Last night Strickland connected with over 50% of his strikes (forgot the exact percentages) while Izzy was like 34%. So crazy, dudes legit.

I think the big problem for Izzy is he seemed totally commited to countering Stickland, his offence was so slow and telegraphed(those high kicks especially) seemingly like it was only intended to bait his opponent into chasing him but Stickland realised he was outlanding him enough that he didnt need to

Hilarious. Not being KOd = pillow fists.
And comparing facial lacerations of two different fighters as a measure of power.

Seriously, you watch MMA for so long and do not have a fucking clue
Dude WTF are you on about? You posted a comparison of Yoel and Strickland. Strickland does not have the ONE SHOT POWER that Yoel has. Strickland getting a weird 49-46 DECISION over Izzy does not somehow translate into your flawed comparison being correct. Volume striker winning by volume somehow = Power?
GTFO

You "won the internet" kid.

Mommy will be proud!

I already said I barely care, and your response is "nah dude you DO care".
No lol, I literally don't.

You need to lighten up fella.
It is what is is.

You really feel such a strong urge to show me that you don't care. Yeah....kinda proves the opposite :D

Wait wait....so the person who can finish opponents with punches, but does not have (allegedly) one shot KO power has PILLOW FISTS? That's what you're trying to tell me?
Excuse me, but you're not the sharpest tool in the box.

I never said that. Stop making shit up.
You compared Yoel and Sean.
Yoel is low output, high power threat.
Sean is literally the exact opposite. He is a higher output striker and much lower on the Power as far as a one shot KO goes. One shot KO is exactly what POWERFUL strikers can do. Sean isn't that guy. Putting you on ignore now since you are clearly happy to argue for the sake of arguing.

Strickland has the power of a sloth

Anything else, idiot?

When Adesanya is in his safe game, he usually relies on the fact that he can damage an opponent with leg/high kicks, and duck any offence/counter.
Strickland might be the most aggressive, coming-forward opponent of his since Romero. Unlike Romero though, he has a veyr high volume of jabs and combos, and he also might mix it with takedowns (rarely but happens).

I'm not sure that Adesanya can dodge it all. Strickland has an ability to outwork opponents, even if judges don't always see it (like in Cannonier fight)
Maybe Adesanya should aim for the finish, as Stricklands chin is far from being iron...

Good call sherbro.

Prophetic post, TS, nicely done.

Strickland is way too slow and flat footed, I think Adesanya will just leg kick him like crazy and win a unanimous decision. I expect lots of leg kicks and some body kicks from Adesanya and the odd head kick thrown in now and then and he will be too fast and accurate. Strickland is tough though and I think he won't get finished but Adesanya will win a clear decision.

Strickland proved to be not only faster than Izzy, but he also threw the straighter punches.

Bravo

I think Strickland is a live dog here. If he plays it safe at range he will get leg kicked into a living hell since he's pretty open for kicks at range against other strikers and he's a bit easy to angle away from since he's so punch heavy but he's very capable of doing what KG did if he's willing to. This is the man who arguably won a striking match against Cannonier... he's legit and arguably has the best hands at MW now with Pereira moving up.

Izzy has struggled with the jab of Pereira and Whittaker and Strickland has a great jab that will be there to help him cut angles if he's willing to push like iron chin KG did I believe his pressure, high count combos and funky angles will be enough to make Izzy uncomfortable.

I'm biased but I've been studying the hell out of Izzy, Strickland and Pereira..... I really do believe if Strickland approaches this right he'll make it a dog fight win or lose.
Just wanted to gloat one last time because everybody thought I was crazy.<Moves>
