Can Roy Nelson KO Cheick Kongo?

Nelson's last nine wins have come by knockout or TKO.

I don't see Kongo having much luck standing or on the ground (especially not the ground), but the only fighter to stop Kongo with strikes has been Mark Hunt.

Nelson by decision? Or maybe sub?

Definitely not decision... Nelson by KO, Hunt's nearly as fat as Nelson

I believe we will see Big Country KO/TKO him

I don't view this as a very good fight for Kongo, his chin seems pretty shot and his defense is bad, I can just see the overhand right crashing onto his jaw.

Cheick gets vaunted as a great striker but his hands were never his strong point, back in his kickboxing days it was his kicks that made him successful. Roy isn't the greatest technical striker but he's more then capable of landing as like I said Kongo's defense is lacking and his hands are average.

The one area where Kongo can win is in the clinch however, Roy is known to be weak there and opponents have commented that he is physically weak, Kongo needs to bully him in the clinch, he can tire him out and beat him up there, and we will see Roy's knockout power fade in the later parts of the fight as we've seen in the past

Meh. Honestly, when was the last time Roy Nelson showed any particular skill on the ground? He was dominated by Mir, and didn't accomplish much against Monson. His last submission victory was in 2006, back when he was still fighting small-time opponents. His takedowns aren't great, and neither is his top control. His TDD definitely isn't great.

Kongo is a pretty solid wrestler. Who knows what he can do if he scores takedowns and gets top control?

Nelson can put down just about anyone in the heavyweight division, and he has the chin to stay in there with Kongo until it happens. He's also got a decent ground game that gets overlooked a lot, which I think will be plenty to handle Kongo on the mat. Nelson in round one.

Is Crixus angry?

Of course he can, anybody can be knocked out at HW

If Miragliotta is reffing then Zombie Kongo by epic comeback

Roy Nelson is hands down the sexiest man in the ufc

Kongo would have to fight extremely smart to out duel Nelson. If Nelson is still in the mind frame of putting together combinations instead of single punches, then Kongo shouldn't be too much of a problem. Kongo gets rocked easily, and is coming off a bad loss.

I don't know why they couldn't get Hunt to fight Nelson. That fight would be amazing.

Overhand right from Big Country drops Kongo and ground and pound follows up putting Kongo out. 1st round (T)TKO win for Big Country, no doubt about it. It will be pretty brutal as well.

Is he capable of it? Sure, he definitely has the power. Matchup wise? I'm not sure if he'll be able to but I'm rooting for him.

100%! An overhand right could end the night!
