Most women won't bang a guy if he is a loser living in his parents basement, with no job. Any initial attraction she felt pretty much dies when she discovers that.

They have to try and figure out his status first.

LOL sounds like your friend is doing some crazy mental gymnastics to justify the fact his wife was a prostitute to himself. Good for them if they're happy but I really pity dudes who have such low standards that they would marry a whore.

An old friend of mine who passed away in the 90s used to be a screenwriter lost family because of his alcoholism he also got fired from his job so he decided to go to Vegas to basically drink himself to death. Over time they developed a bond, but he told her not to ask him to quit drinking and she accepted this. I would say yes. I know a few former pimps that ended up marrying their bottom chicks and started a family. Cliff story my cousin used to pimp he got caught up and did some time.. When he got out his bottom still wanted to work he said no but they could be together because she held him down while he was locked up. She wasnt ready to give up the life... She ended up getting murdered in Atlantic city. Sad situation.
 
The question would be whether or not that line of work diminishes their ability to love / bond

It could cause desensitization / dissociation, but I'm sure it would vary either way.

Who says that it has to be the norm? Most "decent" people are nothing more than sophisticated prostitutes anyway.

Most mature women (who are searching for a peer in order to start a family) shouldn't bang a guy who lives in his parents' basement with no job because being unable to provide for yourself is a huge turnoff, not because he has no money. If she would bang the exact same guy with same life habits who happens to have rich parents that left him an inheritance, then she is a worshiper of money and I find that to be contemptible because everything that has a price has little value.

because they seem to think they are talking about self-conscious fleshlights, not about human beings. a lot of girls have to resort to prostitution because they need money and have no other way of earning it. others are directly forced to do it by organized crime.
