Californians

My roommates told me no blackouts so far, we're downtown in the Hensley neighborhood.

I've been at valley medical since Thursday. I was making lunch on Wed round 1130 and had a seizure, which happens to me every few months but the way I fell on my right leg I ended up both dislocating and breaking a bone in my ankle. Also broke my fibula in the lower right leg. Never dislocated or broke anything before. The x-rays are awful.

They had to relocate the ankle bone once on Thursday and 4 times yesterday because it kept slipping out of place. Super unstable. They had to do surgery to drill screws and bars to my leg to keep that foot in place till the swelling goes down. Then they will do another procedure.

I was awake for those resets and have never endured pain like that. Sucked like a mofo. They gave me 2 pops of morphine, a pop of fentanyl and I was still screaming and passed out during the the 1st relocation on Thursday. Yesterday they loaded me up with Dilated an oxy and it still didn't help at all.

Did that nightmare 5 times, words don't really tell what it was/is like. Hospital staff is really awesome and has kicked ass... Definitely kicked my ass that's for sure.

Here's a pic from yesterday in the middle of one of the resets. This Dr was pretty badass she didn't hold back at all. See how the two ends of my lower right leg are tied and being pulled in two different directions? They were doing live x-rays during this.
So yeah good times.

Did you have a Cro-cop type fall? Get well soon.

More pics of nurse/doctor

According to my wife SC had no issues

We had 3 fire engines and 2 PD wagons out evacuating the building it was so bad. Alarms were going berserk. I called security not really knowing what to do and they pretty much told me to run for my life.

Nice. I used to live in the area of Ventura and El Camino.
Oh, Ventura. Had a lovely seafood meal on the pier there. Friend's parents lived there so he did for a while. Kind of small, wonder if you ever bumped into each other, were you there before, during or after the fires? His parents lost their house.

Not Ventura, CA the city. I meant Ventura Ave and El Camino in Palo Alto (close to Mountain View) just south of Page Mill. Iused to shop at the Safway and Trader Joe's on San Antonio. When you said you were picking up groceries I thought you went to a place in that area because there are 3 grocery stores plus a Walmart in that area.

No power shut off for me yet. I'm just south of the SF bay area.

Air quality is bad but could be worse. Santa cruz mountains are on fire along with salinas and carmel valley. Dumb fucker from Fresno also started the fire in big Sur then was throwing rocks at the fire department when they showed up. The fires suck but more so when it is arson.

Curious if pge stock will go without a major dive till rain season. Buy during the rain season after the dive and sell in June or july.

Gotcha. It's a really nice area around there.

I know it's only up the road from where I live but that was only the second time I'd been in Mountain View in the 3.5 years I've been around here.

Really? Jesus. Was he caught?

Yeah they have him but the damage is done unfortunately.
Yeah, the horse has bolted already. I hope they throw the book at him, we've all got enough to deal with as it is without crap like that.
Unbelievable. A PG&E worker died yesterday in the fires helping out the fire dept.
