Why would it be a teacher's obligation to share that information with the family? Their job is to educate your child on the curriculum not educate the parents on their child's personal life. Don't get paid enough to take on that.

Considering the obscene amount of child abuse that goes down at homes I can understand schools not wanting to take on any liability by crossing that line and getting involved in family/personal matters.

California has been working on cutting parents out of the equation for a while. At 12, a child in California can get an abortion without parental notice, as well as any health and mental health-related "care" without parental knowledge. They also tried (and failed) to give the jab to 12-year-olds without parental approval. It's clear that they're trying to create a situation where they exploit the full access they have to your children to pump their head full of a particular ideology, socially transition them at school with a new name, breast binders and similar "care", and ultimately funnel them towards a path of operations and pharmaceuticals while limiting your knowledge of it and your ability to stop it as much as possible.

The stance of the state is basically that your children belong to them, it's what their actions bear out.

Communism in other words.

Not surprising California is one of the only places still pushing this nonsense whereas most of the world is culling it.

California Seems to have Gone a bit Bonkers?
This is coming from the same California and its California’s attorney sued a Southern California school district over its new policy requiring schools to notify parents if their children change their gender identification or pronouns.

Recently California Senate had passed a bill in which the school districts arent allowed from notifying parents if their child changes their gender identity or pronouns.

This is a senate run by one majority rule which is the Liberal/Democrats and the democrats dont want the parents to be informed on what is happening to their children in schools.

If your kids do not feel safe talking to you about their problems, you have failed as a parent. If your children are scared of you, you have more than failed as a parent.

They don't have to share that information as you said it is not their job. Their job is to teach and use the child's legal name unless they have the parents permission not to.

We can start there and go on to what is the teachers job and the job of all school employees.

If a child is showing signs of gender dysphoria, which is a mental illness, the parents need to be notified that their child has mental issues that need to be addressed.

Parents aren't abandoning their school aged children over this. Don't be ridiculous.

However she was recently telling me how she has to walk on eggshells with using pronouns for a specific student who goes by her preferred pronouns and the staff can get in trouble if they don’t use the students preferred pronouns however they made the mistake of using the students preferred pronouns to the parents on the phone and the parents were irate at the staff and now they have to make sure they didn’t break any rules by outing the kids sexuality to the parents. This whole thing should not be in the schools.

There is a difference between sex education and whatever nonsense they are pushing to the children now in schools.

What “whole thing”? Actual queer people? They exist. It’s not “inappropriate” or “age inappropriate” that they exist, it’s not I appropriate to acknowledge their existence, or to support them.

I don’t really see what is being “pushed” here. This bill deals with something that would originate with the student, wouldn’t it? The student would have to originate being gay; or gender nonconforming, or whatever. The school doesn’t initiate it. And if they did, nothing prevents the student from voluntarily talking with their parents.

If you’re a parent worried about not being made aware of these things, my advice would be: create a positive, supportive environment where your kids know they’ll be accepted and loved even if they’re queer. and they’ll come out to you.
