I would be in favor of an amendment to making voting possible only with ID and only in person.
okay, remember that poll taxes are unconstitutional and prohibited due to the 24'th amendment. with that being said, would you be in favor of giving every citizen a free id and making sure that every citizen is within walking distance of a polling station?
or is that simply just not going to work, and this was never really about having proper id in the first place, it was about suppressing voters that may not vote the way that you want them to?
now everybody has id's and then what? after you still get record numbers of people voting against you, do you decide to move election days to wednesday morning between the hours of 6 am - 9 am because it's way too easy for people to vote on tuesdays if they have all day to vote, and we damn sure can't be having election days on a weekend otherwise that would make it easier for people to exercise their constitutional right to vote and we really don't want that when our party and our politics is becoming unpopular among the majority of americans and we aren't gaining enough voters so we have to suppress them.
and why are you against mail in voting? is it because of all the fraud that donald trump never once alleged in any court in the land, related to the election where every official from the top down and even his own attorney general deemed as a free and fair election and there was no evidence of widespread election fraud? or are we basing this off of those 10 or 11 registered republicans who got caught committing real world acts of election related real world crimes, and that is why the entire voting process needs to change?
i mean yeah, i'm sure you'd just love to spend your days crowding around your only polling station in town only to find out that time is up and you can no longer vote because of some kind of technical errors, or some trumptards calling in a bomb threat or some shit.
you do know that donald trump has cast in his vote in the general election via mail in ballot in both 2016, and 2020, correct? they should probably just throw out his vote too right? or is that diffe(r)ent?
you chuds wouldn't be so against mail in voting if it was the republicans who had the tendency to vote that way, and if it wasn't donald trump telling you to be against mail in voting and telling you at each of his rallies for all of 2020 to only vote in person, because he concocted a scheme just to try to have all of the mail in votes thrown out in all of the swing states he needed to win for no constitutional or legal reason at all, in just another one of his many failed attempts to steal a free and fair election because he couldn't win it by votes.
but i'm guessing providing free ID, and a polling station within walking distance of every american citizen would be a bridge too far hey? and perhaps free caregiver pickup and an express line for the elderly, and others who have disabilities or mobility issues too. oh wait, i better stop, we don't want to make it any easier for people to execerise their constitutional rights now would we? that would just be unpatriotic.
