Cain Velasquez responds to Tyson Fury's challenge to fight

Man Cain would end Furry's carreer if they ever fought.

jds said he would knock out wladimir klitschko if they boxed

I do believe he said he "COULD" not "Would". Big difference! At HW almost everyone has the power to knock anyone out. So almost anyone COULD. BUt it is unlikely. Here is his quote..

"I could beat that guy, man," dos Santos said. "Maybe not easy, but I could knock him out."

In other words Santos is saying IF he catches him he COULD knock him out. There is nothing inaccurate about his comment. Just a bunch of fan boys acting like kids and misunderstand what he says. Its unlikely he would KO Klits but he very well could. Its called a punchers chance. He doesnt say he would beat him or would knock him out or that he is better than him. Only that he COULD!

COULD

auxiliary verb
2.
(used to express possibility): I wonder who that could be at the door. That couldn't be true.

3.
(used to express conditional possibility or ability): You could do it if you tried.

Cain's stock rises again.

He is a great ambassador for MMA and seems like a level headed, humble man. Plus he can beat the fuck out of almost any human on the planet. Including this Fury wanker.

Perfect response by Cain.

I bet he'd look like Maia against a boxer...

Seriously though, he'd probably just smash him on the ground.

Yeah for a decision win, as long as Fury don't get a puncher's chance in the beginning of each round before Cain takes him down.

That really is the perfect response. I'd be tempted to talk more trash but then you're essentially making a name for Fury, which is exactly what he's looking for here, so there's no question this is the way to go with it. Can't say I would mind seeing another boxer get embarrassed though.

Yeah I am sure it was very painful seeing a top ten MMA fighter get embarrassed by a 50 year old retired Boxer.

I can understand the hostility towards Boxers while worshiping Wrestlers, BJJ guys, K-1 fighters and such.

Nice response by Cain.

As much as this "hardworking mexican" persona is hammed up by the UFC, he really is a mature, down-to-earth, mild mannered guy who presents himself well and does not speak out of turn or let his ego get in front of making a fair statement.

Good representation for the sport.

Mexican Fedor, homie.

You don't think Cain would be able to stop him ?

Maybe by submission. Not GnP.

Fury is a world class top ten Boxer who is conditioned to take punches for 12 rounds from other world class HW Boxers, all while standing up.

Cain could not stop Kongo or JDS and would definitely not stop Fury with just GnP.

But then again this is Sherdog, where Boxers are never given the benefit of the doubt in anything when it comes to MMA.

Mr. Fury needs to understand he would be hurt very badly against Cain Velasquez in a mixed martial arts fight.

This is so weird to me.

they're two different sports, he might aswell start calling out Golfers, Tennis players, swimers and shit next.

"ILL BEAT YOU AT MY SPORT"

yeah big suprise.

don't see tiger woods calling out boxers for a game of golf, so what the actuall fuck is going on.

Good response.

Had to check that Tyson Fury was his real name. Shit sounds like something from a video game.

Or a male porn star.

Anyways, not a Cain fan, but that was the perfect response.

Furry or whatever his name is, is just talking for the sake of talking, he doesn't want a MMA bout with Cain. Puhhleease.

Dumb analogy. Those sports are not combat sports you clown.

Boxing is, as well as wrestling, Kickboxing, BJJ, Judo, Sambo. All major styles of MMA.

MMA is a transitional sport for combat athletes of primary combatant sports to come in and compete while cross training in other styles.

Nothing weird about that.

Just look at Lesnar and Mercer. They defeated top ten MMA fighters early on.

You cannot do that in other primary combat sports. MMA is practically freestyle fighting.
