Quality postFor many, including Cain and myself, heritage>nationality. Frankly the whole "the nation that gave you opportunities" argument seems ridiculous to me. Nations are just entities that rob and steal from each other, and in large part enslave their citizens in some way or another. Heritage, or ethnicity, is in your blood, it goes where ever you go, and is not changed by your birth place. Heritage is passed down from generation to generation, and is passed directly to you by the very people that gave you life. Your ethnicity is shaped by the choices and trials your ancestors have gone through, and though your own way of being is impacted by the world you grow up in at the core is all that genetic "memory" given to you by your forebears.
If you disagree with me, or see things differently, I completely understand.

Amazing, they are actually embracing Cain as a representative for Mexico. That's some great PR job by the UFC

Weird. Sherdog told me all the Mexicans would cheer Werdum and that he should be the favorite but they won't even bet 1$ on him at +450 odds.
not really, I mean look at the whole card... it's mostly "Latino". I myself feel a little manipulated even though I'm not Mexican. How about just some honest straight up ass-kickings and not trying to mess with people's heritage and sentiments?
They have last names that would suggest they could be Mexicans but none of them are really Mexicans. Don't you think the Mexican fans will feel a little manipulated once they find out? Isn't it a little too obvious?
Surprised Henry Cejudo isn't on the main card, he talked about his parents being born in mexico city and he speaks fluent spanish. He's a beast and I bet he's going to win a lot of fans saturday night.
Sherdog Americans are far too easily rustled by a dude showing pride in his ethnic roots.
There are many Mexican fighters at UFC 188:

Cain being one of them.
Maybe you meant Mexican fighters not born in Mexico? You should edit your title.
