Cain Velasquez is Mexican/isn't Mexican Thread ***Threads Merged***

I know I don't. I don't expect fighters to be ideologically consistent nor overly intelligent for that matter.

I just want them to fight.

What, like his brown pride tattoo ? The dude is proud to be brown... and has a black and white best friend.... he clearly isnt racist

That's exactly what I was trying to explain the police when they gave me trouble for screaming "White Pride" in a black neighborhood.

Its the Brown Pride tattoo that has white people rustled
Seems like he has a lot of Mexicans and other southern neighbors rustled, too. And some Hispanic immigrants to the US rustled.
It is as if no American before ever referred back to their parents' home country....

I'm Canadian American.

I'm Canadian American.

So, you either grew up in Canada and moved to the US and obtained US citizenship, or have Canadian parents who moved to the US and you were born in the US.

your 100% right and I wish everyone was like you. I just want to see him fight.

I'm of Canadian heritage I grew up there and I have a maple leaf on my ass. But my parents moved us to California about a decade ago.

Yeah, so you're Canadian American. You are correct.

Man, fuck all y'all that say he isn't Mexican. That ***** is Mexican enough!

I don't care much, but it's an interresting debate:) It doesn't make any difference to me regarding the fight itself:)

Hey, why don't you ask the UFC why they care so much about his heritage:)

Man, fuck all y'all that say he isn't Mexican. That ***** is Mexican enough!

Exactly. I remember UFC pushing Brandon Vera and Mark Munoz to appeal to the Philippine audience and they welcomed both of them with open arms. Vera is like, only half Filipino and both he and Mark are Filipino Americans. Vera is only half but he has shown how proud he is of his Filipino heritage.

100% full blooded. I miss it alot.

You can always visit Canada anytime, bro. I take vacations to visit relatives back in Asia each year as well.

Who cares? I just want to see the man fight.

Hes proud of who he is and where his family came from... whats wrong with that?

Nothing is wrong with it. Except he can't handle being called an American, which he is.

Because he and the UFC go so out of his way to hype him up as Mexican when really, in fact, he isn't. Plus, what else do you have to talk about in terms of Cain: his exciting personality or his amazing fighting schedule? Oh wait...

lol!! If he started claiming that he's American, the hillbillies will be saying "bullsh!t he ain't 'Merican, he's a Mexican" so it's a lost/lost situation for Latinos. I'm so proud that Zuffa, Cain, and Javier are rubbing it in everyone's faces. Deal with it!

He hasn't fought in almost two years, and he hasn't had a new opponent for more than 3 years. He has almost no personality, aside from being oversensitive like a girl when someone questions his Mexican-ness.
What do you expect people to say about him? Or would you prefer that everyone pretends he doesn't exist?

That's exactly what I was trying to explain the police when they gave me trouble for screaming "White Pride" in a black neighborhood.

I feel bad cause everyone ignores the stupid shit you post.

This quotes for you, kid.

Cain is damned either way. If he embraces his heritage people get upset over it, if he didn't, he would get called out for not acknowledging his heritage and get called certain disparaging names.
