He shouldn't have shot at the car obviously.

But I mean it is a bit understandable he must have been out of his mind at the moment, those of you that have kids will know the feeling.

If a 16 year old kid fingered my 12 year old daughter I wouldn't have missed and hit the dad - and that kid would have new pronouns.

We're not saying he should gun down people when he's angry because he made things worse but people can understand WHY he lose control. This was about someone abusing his family. A kid bad no less. Up thread there is a video from NBC. To me it sounds like its Cains younger child. Shows the accused abusers home/daycare, and gives minor details about his pending case.

I haven't read any sources about this, but from what I can gather....

A phile's parents run a daycare? Said phile lives there and sexually abuses the children? One of said children was Cain's daughter? The phile got charged and was out on bail? Cain tracked him down and pumped three bullets in the car, non-fatally wounding the phile's step-father?

Whew. This is heavy shit. Type of stuff you see on TV, but sadly this type of stuff inspires the fiction we watch.

This reminds me of Walt Harris's step daughter being murdered by someone who was out on bail for kidnapping and attempted murder iirc.

My biggest takeaway is that people accused of crimes this serious and heinous (child abuse, child abduction, attempted murder, etc) should not be allowed to be released on bail. They should be detained until it can be determined if they're guilty of the crimes they're being accused of. If they cannot be proved guilty then the state can compensate them for the time spent in prison.

If this guy actually is a I think his parents definitely deserve some blame here. If they were unaware he was abusing these kids, then they're still guilty of criminal negligence. They're responsible for these kids' safety while taking care of them. Period. And how did the alleged 's bail get paid? I can only assume the parents helped, especially if he lives with them and they're driving him around while he's on bail. Further guilt on their part.

What Cain did wasn't very wise. But I don't disapprove.

No way he does 7-10, the courts are very forgiving in cases like this. It was a crime of passion. Child abuse was involved. Cain is somewhat of a celebrity.

Let me ask you this. Which is worse, spending years locked up behind bars as a or, getting your ass beat once?
Give the justice system a chance to give him the worse of those 2 punishments. If justice doesn't prevail you can always beat his ass later.

At the end of the day your kid still got assaulted. Now the kid is going to go through hell losing their father or protector when they need them the most.
Beating or assaulting the perp literally only makes you feel better & it puts the victim in a far worse situation. The kid now has to be going through a whole new traumatic experience knowing their dad is locked up and facing years because of this. What a f'ed up story. Maybe Dana & Vince can call in some political elite favors or something. However, if Cain shot another innocent father who didn't know about the molestation and was trying to protect his own kid....Cain should have to take ownership for his own crime against an innocent man.
