Bro needs Dutch Kickboxing not Dim Mak.
The Dutch guard is suboptimal for MMA. It's based on using large boxing style gloves and shelling-up behind them.
You sissies say this shit but the guy was a champion with a 99% finish rare. The part when he gently taps a stick is so impressive. His next opponent better not be a stick I’m telling you
Thread title had me worried the UFC made Perreira / Jiri 3 instead of Perreira / Ankalaev.
Problem is he's no prime Silva on his reflexes. He thinks he's prime Anderson, but he's trying to fight like prime Roy Nelson. Not shitting on the guy, almost everyone want him doing good. Especially if its another title run.Ah, a little bit of Hyperbole I see? getting KTFO by every hard hitter he's fought hm? When in reality he's only been KO'd by Alex recently. Reyes, Ozdemir, Glover are all hard hitters.
Your mind seems to be narrow, Grasshopper. Perhaps being a good nail and enduring the enemies attacks to weaken their heart is a part of his strategy. It's a different type of defense; A flamboyant confidence in ones self belief, masked as arrogance to the opponent. Forces them to engage, for engaging when your opponent is defensively vulnerable, is what these fighters have been instinctively trained to do. Jiri anticipates this and masters navigating these circumstances he creates for him self via his "choice of defense". As long as Jiri can expect what they will do as he leaves himself open, he can capitalize on the attack.
He's a different type of fighter. It REALLY bugs me that everyone wants him to become some ATT wrestleboxer.

sure, that's what we all thought. then DDP came in with the high guard and just beat the fuck out of 2 of the top strikers at MW in Whittaker and Adesanya.
I'm embarrassed I felt this way for a minute after the second loss to Alex.but he doesn’t need to do all this goofy shit
Part of that is DDP having a blockhead in the best sense of the word. Sean absolutely peppered his face with jabs that got through his guard, it's just that Sean is kinda feather fisted.

Come on, I’m joking, you’ re not believing that I actually think he’s weak or something ? He’s Jiri, he’s brutal, he’s also a bit peculiar which can be funny, but I always liked him.You sissies say this shit but the guy was a champion with a 99% finish rare.
