Burpee Conditioning

do you guys recommend starting with what Ross recommends?

Beginner Program
4 x 2-minute rounds with 1 minute of rest between rounds

Ive always had decent cardio because i've played sports all my life, but lately college has been making me lazy. whats the best routine to start burpees?
 
Prison workout is great for anybody I think. Do a pyramid or ladder of burpees up to as many as you can do with 30 second rests in between sets.
